Suspect in this specific instance it was complicated dramatically by Shiel doing his knee playing twister (yes of course that's a joke).

They got their other deals done pretty quickly.

Gut says we were on for a bigger pay day for Gresh with Shiel coming back to us and 13 but then the knee thing.

Lots of people hang s**t on their trading team but they have done a lot of business pretty quickly this year, not sure its entirely fair (speaking about this year specifically)

Still reckon we dodged a bullet if his body is that fragile. Already had a foot problem, not his knee is stuffed.

900k would have been the price for a 7 pick upgrade (we would have got 14 as we already have 13), as Sheil would probably have played no games and not offered another contract.

Compare Essendon to Sydney. Essendon stuff every other club around during trade week. The Swans quietly with no fuss bring in Grundy, Adams and Jordon.

When ever we've dealt with the Swans it's always been the same. No stress. Jones, Hanners, Dempster, Schneider, Membrey, all trades done fairly and without fanfare.

Wish they'd have kept Hanners though.

Sydney don’t feel the need to bat their chest and tell everyone how good they were 20+ years ago. They just set a fair price and back themselves.

As someone said fancy paying a combined 1.5 million for McKay and Gresham taking it up to 2.9 million when Sheil and Goldstein is added in, and whatever Duursma is on, would have to be 3.5 million or about 20% on 5 players. Holy hell.

Future 3rd for Dow

Take 13, 21 and 23 to the draft?

I like it but I'd keep the F2 and offload a 2nd this year. Draft is meant to be deeper next year

Just a question if I may: Don't Carlton have an entire thread on their board dedicated to taking the p155 out of posters from other clubs? If yes, do they have different rules than the rest of us?

Personally I would prefer if only supporters of our club could post on here.

So I take it you took off the laughing emoji on the joke. Listen if it offends you or anyone else, ask the mod to delete it and they can even PM me to tell me what jokes are allowed on here and are not. I can assure you every slightly off joke can 'offend' somebody.
So every time someone mentions cancer, like so and so is a cancer on the club, I should get it deleted because I have a very close family member going through a terrible time with actual cancer? How about calling someone smooth brained? Another family member is learning the fate of her unborn child today, should I complain I am 'offended'.

As I said report the post and the mod can delete it. It is well known what happened at St.Pats. It was an off colour joke as many are on here.
You want everything censored on the off chance? Fair enough, but spare me the outraged moral indignation. This is an anonymous forum, the mods set the content, if it is not desired there are two options, delete the 'offending' post or not come on the forum.
