Just wished for once the commentators said “this player is shit”.

Or at least some commentary on why the player is being taken in the 50s rather than earlier in the draft

Why not? You can trade it out or get a slider, plus we need picks for next year.

To not trade it makes zero sense.

It makes sense if youre the recruitment team and you wanna get on the piss after pick 58 and not have to wait until the end of the draft. Priorities!

Why?
We should have had more picks in this draft. We have missed out for n what is widely regarded as the best draft in a decade. Don't get me wrong, in happy with Draper and Welsh, but there was a chance to add more. We have a couple of players at least that we could have delisted

Why? We were always going to re-draft him in the RD. There was never any other option considered, from the day his delisting was announced.

What has that got to do with "picking your own father son before another club bids on him"?

That pick is the equivalent of the list spot we'd put aside for him. We thought he was worth a spot and pick 59.

Sure, we should have had another pick. But using pick 59 for Welsh is absolutely fine.

Yes, if you have committed to selecting the player there before the draft.

I think it could have been improved.

For me, it would have been by making another list spot available, and offering 44 and a F3 for ANB instead of pick 25.

Still, I'm very happy with how it's gone.
