That really sucks, Pedlar is one of my favourite players to watch. I really hope he can come back firing in 2025.
What a shit year for Pedlar
A bit down during the preseason, has a poor start to the year, gets dropped, fails to set the SANFL on fire, gets recalled anyway only to go down immediately with a season-ending injury.
Such a shame after a great 2023. It seems our young players just can't ever manage to put together two quality years in a row without something getting in the way

“Luke hurt his shoulder that he’s had a few minor issues with in the past in a contest early in the game,” Burgess said.
“He had to come off and he’s seeing the surgeon today. We’re not too sure where that will lead but he will miss this weekend for sure.
“It’s a bit sore but the initial scans were a bit mixed so we’ll see what the surgeon says and be guided by that.”

There's a couple ways to interpret that. Is it:
1. I've done it before and this time it could be worse than last time; or
2. I've done it before and it was pretty bad then, so this time it could have been worse than it actually is.

3. It could be worse because the shoulder is at the "just pop it back in" level of damaged.

Pedlar out is disappointing. But it gives taylor or dowling an opportunity to play as a small forward who can also rotate in the middle. Oh wait, nicks is the coach. Let's pump another 100 games into spuds like murphy.

Very disappointing. Was hoping his lengthy injury history was behind him after he put together 21 games in 2023.

This would put Murray's recovery time at 10 months. That's 7-8 more games than I expected from him, even if the first 1-2 are via the SANFL
Nicks reckons Pedlar is not done for the season, which I guess means no surgery.

Think more of a case that they don't know yet.
I feel for him. Could be the modern Tony Hall. Great talent but injuries just keep coming.

I haven't heard of (or thought of) Tony Hall for decades. I remember I saw him do his knee in a state game in the late 80's. Awesome player with the Bays and then Hawthorn from memory. When did he last play?
