One thing I don't like about Travs highlights is I don't think I saw a single long kick go to a team mate. They all seem to be Hail Mary's down the line.

Nas seems to find blokes at all sorts of angles which makes him so dangerous. Trava highlights seem like a blind hit and hope.

Won’t lie. I got a bit teary. It’s a song with a lot of meaning for me.

Not sure why the melts . If all the top mids are gone , what are we supposed to do ? It’s clear that our picks fall right on the edge of that tier of elite mids , it’s unfortunate, we need mids.

But if we rate tobie than a mid , then it’s the right choice . To be honest the only other mid at that range that I think could match travaiglia is Reid. If they don’t like him then so be it .. taking Lindsey or Allan instead would be a reach

Yes, it may be sensible to take the best player available with our first two picks, and that he quite possibly will not be a mid.

We all in the main understand the logic.


The angst is that near seasons end that we had the hope of getting at least one, and maybe two really good mids. 4 wins in 5 games saw that high expectation of getting what we so desperately need turn to high anxiety that we may not as two clubs slipped under us.



That big hope bubble may be about to burst. And that hope was also based on the knowledge that a core reason why we are not a really threatening team is that we lack elite mids.

Hope is still there that maybe just may be can get one pick earlier than we have, or that North might still manage to slip a little to not take a mid. Or that we may pluck another "Wilson".


So come draft night it may be best available "good players, but not quite the type of player/s we need" or trading down to get " multiple players of the type we need, but not quite of the quality we need", or maybe just "more players of any type".

So we head in draft night looking to be sensible. This now may be the right ting to do.....but it was not the daydreams we were having with 5 games to go.

Honestly, I am more concerned about us f*&^cking up the logo tbh. The logo was the best thing we had, better then any draft picks and draftees.

Won’t lie. I got a bit teary. It’s a song with a lot of meaning for me.

Was the funeral song for a friend of my sisters who died in a car accident in year 12, she still can't listen to it 20+ years later.

The one that kills me is Last Kiss. I loved it as a kid, probably had heard it about 50 times. But one day I was kicking around my soft footy in my bedroom and for whatever reason this time I took in the words. By the end of the song I'd put the footy down and just sat on the edge of my bed in shock. I almost felt sick. I couldn't stop thinking about it for days. An incredible song.

To me he looks like a much worse blakey. Blakey's prone to a shocking kick every now and then, but he's usually dead on with his short long kicks, and he's just rapid. If we pick Trav id be ecstatic to be proven wrong though

Eljay Connors is still the worst pick i think I've ever seen.

I'm convinced the club got two blokes names mixed up.

Just loom at this photo, it is clearly the first time the kid has ever held a footy and he looks scared and confused.

I get the question marks over his kicking (although I don't think it's as bad as some are suggesting), but I'm not worried about Travaglia becoming a mid. He looks every bit a midfielder with his contested work, his ability to get his hands free and his tackling game.

We obviously love Travaglia. He seems like a bit more of a safe bet to make it.

Having said that I'm with you, Tauru and Reid would be a really nice combo. There must be doubts about Reid's ability to become an AFL mid because his stats are up there with the best in the draft.
