And which elite midfielder would you have picked with our first pick? The fact is that they were all gone! Hence why we picked the best available.
I’ve said it 100 times, we decided to get all high and mighty about winning meaningless games at the end of the year and took ourselves out of the Bont/Oliver draft range. We whinge about the system but we hurt ourselves more.

Saying we have 2 halfbacks is kind of strange when these draft kids are 18 and have only really started playing the game.
It is up to the club to turn them into the best player they can possibly be and where they play on the field will be determined to what suits them and the club.
We turned Battle from a touted future key forward to a defender - so what they are playing as 17 and 18 yr olds is no way of saying if that is where they will be in the future.

Hopefully we picked the best players that were available
and next year we pick up LDU or that GWS kid.

We’re collecting real talent not good honest players, we’ve been screaming out for it that and mids. Mids weren’t in the same class at our picks, just wait you’ll love these guys in years to come.
Yep

Once we decided to use 7 and 8- we've made the right decision and taking best avail.

Whether we made the right decision to not trade up or down- we'll never know.
Hopefully we tried VERY hard to make something happen with trading up or down.

But if we left no stone unturned in trying to trade up or down without being worse off- then taking best available at 7 and 8 is next best outcome.

West Coast will surely take Bo Allen.

Mind you they missed out on Tim Kelly and then paid a King's Ransom to Geelong to get him.

Absolutely nothing wrong with having a gun back line. And these two seem to be very versatile so who knows where they might pop up in a game. Going to enjoy watching their progress.

Are we trading our F1 for someone left? A few bolters so good players dropping.
