Re not picking mids....

Our late games against Sydney and Geelong showed what we're capable of. Later in the season, Brisbane were the only team that really looked on another level.

We've just added a 3 time All Australian mid.

Pou is starting to show what he can be. Another pre season into him will be huge.

I absolutely believe in Windy.

I think Garcia is going to surprise a few here. I see something in him. He'll make it happen.

Coaching improved as the season progressed. I see no reason why it can't continue.

Happy to bring in some real talent to the club. I'll back the vision in.

I posted the herald sun article and Ross is quoted as saying we Lost crouch and it’s freed up salary cap space

It was hard to gauge what that meant but yeah

Tauru is another who bolted in to the top 10 after being a later developer.
The talk of Boxall aligns with another who has ‘bolted’.
Dalrymple has a clear type. The sky is the limit here

Both these players fell well outside our picks..usually a reason why players slide

Ah well - at least I can take solace in the fact that I said that I thought Tauru would struggle to be Top 10.

That said both he and Travaglia look like very good picks. Both will be long term AFL players - backing Travaglia to become a very solid mid for us.

Must admit that I was amazed with the lack of trading early on - I guess all that proves is that the media need to make up a lot of shite to get people to listen to crap shows like Gettable, trade radio etc etc etc.

Speaking of crap, I watched the draft show for about 1/2 an hour and had to turn it off - whoever thought Ben Dixon

You've been pumping him up for awhile. I know you're a track watcher, and your opinions are generally good, so i'm curious:
What do you see in him, and what kind of a mid is he?
Do you believe the coaches see the same talent and potential as you do?
Do you think he gets a gig early next year?

Can't help but feel that quite a few on here are really underestimating what Macrawdaddy is gonna provide for us next year.

I think most that are upset we didn’t nab a genuine mid are more projecting on how things look in 2-3 years time when he and Steele are worse than what they are now.
