But we have Dow and Carroll what more do you want.
Can live with Tauru but really a winger/ mid in Travaglia would not be good especially if Allan is still there.
Still think Tauru goes before our pick. If that's the case we should select Allan at 7 and see who bites at 8 for Tauru.

I’d be very happy if we picked Tauru and Travaglia, both look like absolute athletic guns. We can with some luck get back in and grab a mid who I’m sure would still be a very good player. When you deviate from best available with as many needs as we have overlooking future champs to reach for good honest players you’re in big trouble imo.

Anyway it most likely won’t happen so people need to chill and let the draft play out. I wasn’t a huge wrap for WM, he had fantastic disposal and could run but didn’t get a lot of it and now he’s looking like a superstar. Maybe just maybe the guys we pay to do this know a bit more than we do.

Mission said we were looking for players who would fit our game style, tell me those two kids don’t.

And, I want a young gun midfielder like everyone else but if it doesn't happen this pre season then Macrae had bought us time.
JMac, Steele and Pou is a great starting midfield with a decent support cast.
Land LDU next year and we might be happy we got the two best players possible in this draft.
Who knows...

But, also, get Draper.

On the same show that Twomey admitted that he didn't really know this year and may get quite a few wrong.

Flip out when it's time to flip out.
The time is now, we've bottled another rebuild, Tassie are about to come in and push as back another 5 years, we might not make the finals again until the 2040's!!!

Starts Freaking Out GIF

watching travaglia highlights, he's actually pretty quick with the handball and releases players into space with it after winning it in a contest, his awareness of where to get it is good.. like his clearance at 3:23 here

also note that the richmond spud Smillie has the reflexes/ball skills of a geriatric alan jones in this contest, so glad we won't get to take him /s

edit: emojis not posting :*(

I don’t think you could have 2 players similar to Langford.

But we are a side who murder teams when we get it on the outside and can run + overlap.

We lack that rolls Royce midfielder that can dominate inside, move in and out of stoppages and has a game that isn’t built on a specific attribute like speed that can be taken away by opposition tactics.

That midfielder is Langford.

Kid is a rolls Royce midfielder that you should be able to build a midfield around in 3-4 years.

25.5 disposals for Vic Country
25.9 disposals for the Stingrays

Mr. Consistent
I’m not denying his performance across the year.
Competitiveness does not make a mid, it's just one attribute. We HAVE to stop taking flankers with our top end draft picks praying they become elite midfielders. It's truly about as St Kilda as it gets at this stage.

We have to have learnt our lesson by now, please 🙏
this is such a myth …… ffs

The best kick in the team replaced by an okay kick?

I’ve heard several learned watchers say Travaglia could be the best of the bunch, whilst Tauru is an athletic freak.

Let’s park the drama until we see what happens Wednesday, I for one would be happy with these two, as unlikely as it is to happen.
Don’t see it with travaglia being the player everyone on here wants. He will be a reliable half back flank. But the will day comparisons are so overblown. The club drafting travaglia will see him as a half back flank. Good talent but yeah very underwhelming.

He also said we want mids.

That they ain’t.

Get these two athletic blonde bombshells in.

Get them in the side playing an exciting brand of Sint Ball

Crowds growing weekly as we march towards the finals.

LDU warning North to not even think about matching our bid cos Moorabbin is the only place he wants to be.

I’m in no hurry to wake up from this dream

Surely if Tauru Travaglia and Allen are available at our selections and others want them more than we do.... then Richmond 10 and 11 come into play to get ahead of Melbourne for say Tarau as does GWS 15 and 16 if they want Travaglia we could do some intriguing backwards leap frogging.

Swap 7 and 32 for 10 and 23.
GWS 8 and 23 and f2rdp for 15 16 and 19.
10 Lindsay Mid
15 Whitlock Tall
16 Hotton. Injury top 10 mid
19 Oliver Hard at it mid.

Swap Hotton for Reid just for karma, we have had a good draft.

Probably finish up with Tarau and Travaglia who become the second Carl Ditterich and Neil Besanko/ Daryl Grifiiths.

There you have it folks.

Officially no idea

Misson saying that we are looking at players who fit certain parameters suggests to me we’re looking for more of what we’ve brought in the last couple of years. Endurance athletes, speed merchants, elite disposal, interceptors.

Misson also saying that Ross has been heavily involved and has an eye on multiple years in advance suggests that we may be confident about attracting a free agency midfielder next year.

I think Travaglia meets the parameters. Not sure who else.

Travaglia's career hasn't even started and we are already putting the bloke down.

IF we needed HBF's he would be the perfect option, but we dont. Go back and watch the game Bendigo tried him in the midfield, he did not look like a natural. For me he is more burst player off half back.

Everyone blaming Higgins.

Let's be honest; If we lost that game we would be drafting Tauru @5 and Trav @6

😂

Going off this though I rekon we take Travaglia at 7 then either split 8 to someone who is keen on Tauru or use a F1st to jump back in for someone like Hannaford a little later on in the night.

This info also puts a bit of a fright into North if they do slide back from #2.

It's a warning to take Tauru at #6 because we won't let him slide to pick #10, assuming they get 6+10 for 2 and their F2nd or something.
