are we watching the same footage? In the game v sandy he hit almost every releasing handball, he can bomb it long but that's not the end of the world as a mid, he also hit some nice spot ups in the corridor (first flipping kick). People marking him down because he looks like a baby giraffe when he runs, rather than looking at his actual output. Also he tackles.. he's skinny for sure but would give reid a wedgie if push came to shove
Thats one game .... there is plenty of other footage that just has him bombing it long

Just struggling to get excited about him .... don't see any x-factor

He is a back flanker / wingman .... will take him years to transition to midfield

What? A sandy lineup consisting of absolutely no one while the top liners were at school footy? I’m not a basher on him as I think hel make it and be a solid afl player but seriously murf wipes the floor with him in midfield craft. We’d have to have serious belief our current crop can turn into the very elite midfielders you need to contend for a flag.

I get the question marks over his kicking (although I don't think it's as bad as some are suggesting), but I'm not worried about Travaglia becoming a mid. He looks every bit a midfielder with his contested work, his ability to get his hands free and his tackling game.

I must admit I havent seen these highlights before. Travaglia actually looks quite good and reasonably composed in the midfield. There is no doubt he has burst speed and a great attack on the ball - just maybe there is light!

given missons comments about Ross’ involvement and Ross’ routine comments about our midfield in his presser there is absolutely no way we leave this draft without a mid or two. We’ll be getting another first rounder to take Lindsay or Reid IMO. How we do that, I have no idea.

Before the phantom i thought we were somewhat sitting pretty with one of the top mids bound to slide but now I reckon we HAVE to get more picks just because if we're not gonna get a guaranteed gun, we should give ourselves 3 or 4 chances at it by getting players like Allan, Reid, Shanahan, Hotton, Hynes, Lindsay, or even smalls like berry/hannaford.

Id take Reid over him every day of the week. At least theres some skill and class present in his body. Id also take Lindsay, Hotton, Allan and many others ahed of him. Looks like trash to me

Can't believe Lyon, Silvagni, Dalrymple, and Allen can be so wrong about Travaglia and some blokes watching 5 minutes of highlights can be so correct.

This has been an extraordinarily entertaining evening.

Damn, imagine we actually take Trav... The comments, I promise you he does not kick it like Nathan Wright. Nathan Wright had the single worst kicking tecnique I had ever seen.

I haven't seen a single Travaglia kick that made me think "oh there's something there". My issue with taking another shit kick is the fact that Chito Owens does not have a nice looking kick for goal or field kick and this time next year we're probably still gonna be thinking "how hasn't someone taught or at least told Chito he's gotta change it up?"

I do not want to be thinking about Travaglia in 10 years time thinking we probably coulda drafted a way way way cleaner distributor. Think about the chance he doesn't grow into a midfielder, are we gonna go from Nas and SIncs' elite ball use off half back to his long bomb hail marys shown the line?

We haven’t even drafted him yet it’s OK to have an opinion on someone who is not a good fit for us compared to others. If things fall like his phantom wel take tauru and trade out 8 no doubt.
