Tigers have Lalor, Smillie and Hotton... and they've still got another pick right now. KENTS.
And one will get smashed to smithereens because the big boys of the AFL will make him earn it. The other will not make it as per the AFL statistical averages and the other will retire after 200 games with the Tiger army telling him that unfortunately he missed their glory years because they were a really balanced side back then and unfortunately he played in a team full of mids with nothing to kick it to.

I'm too old to go sit in the cold of a Melbourne winter and watch us lose game after game. I was happy we turned it around after the bye.

Congratulations on Tauru. I've seen a bit of him this year and had him at 7 in Pebbles' nearest the pin thread. Why? It's because I saw his rapid improvement over the 8 games I saw him play. Get excited saints' fans. This guy will be a gun.

If it looks like a Roo, runs like a Roo, marks like a Roo, and quacks like a Roo, it's probably the next Roo. Great work saints. He's got a lot of development left in him with a high ceiling.

We were talking about getting the opportunity to draft 2 quality midfielders since band 1. We ended up taking best available. Fair enough. We were 2 picks off the top mids in the end. But we've got ourselves in draft trouble by drafting for positions in the past and the club obviously didn't rate the next mids as highly as these 2.
Tobe has all the right profiles to transition into the midfield.

Yep

Once we decided to use 7 and 8- we've made the right decision and taking best avail.

Whether we made the right decision to not trade up or down- we'll never know.
Hopefully we tried VERY hard to make something happen with trading up or down.

But if we left no stone unturned in trying to trade up or down without being worse off- then taking best available at 7 and 8 is next best outcome.
You don't often get 2 top ten picks so having the chance to pick the best is something you really can't trade away knowing the top end of this draft is class.

Travaglia's draft profile is pretty good reading. Rekon he ends up in the on ball rotation for sure.

Also ****ing stoked to get Tauru. Kid is a dead set star in the making. Happy for Higgins to get the #1 just geez it would have been unreal to have it vacant for this kid...
