It gets even better. They traded 25 for Caleb Daniel. I have been banging on for days about how bad that was, and it’s what triggered the infestation over here.

But with that trade back in, that means they basically traded at top 3 pick for Caleb f****ng Daniel

Just think about how bad that is for a moment!

Bahahahahahahaha

Waking up tomorrow morning at Arden Street and realising what you’ve done

I’m quietly excited about Tauru and Travaglia. Both are exceptional young footballers who will be stepping into an elite environment under the tutelage of an exceptional coaching group.
Don’t look at these two in isolation - think of them as part of a larger core of exciting young talent that we are assembling.

Don't think we take Dodson TBH.

You can win finals with an average ruck.

I'm hoping for Hugh Boxshall who, funnily enough, did what we are hoping Travaglia will do; Evolved from a HBF into a true mid.

Weagles have a pick ahead of us

He’d be in the mix but I’m still all about best available and there’s still a few rippers there.

The only other one I really want is Shanahan but him being a Saints fan might be putting some bias in that.

Gross would be solid as well but I think I like Boxshall more.

See what happens tomorrow!

well to be fair, one time, we really needed a forward....and we picked him over the best mid.

I believe the 2 players we we picked are genuinly the best players available

Yeah, they both look good to potentially great players. I was hoping we'd trade back in and get a solid mid, but that ship has sailed. Hoping the Rymple finds some value in the later picks. He's proven to be quite good at that.

I thought Richmond cleaned up - and just watch them get another future first for their start of second rounder.

And they didn't plan any of it.
They just happened to self destruct leading intoprobably the deepest draft in 2 decades.

Tigers will win a flag by 2028. Fmd.

They've cleaned up. Makes me sick. We've been total shit since 2011 yet the Tigers and the reigning premiers are the teams cleaning up at the draft. We're gonna need a lot of luck and players to come on. Harsh reality is out last GF competiting team was built from multiple low first round draft picks. We've not been able to replicate that model since, for one reason or another.

Lots of picks =\= cleaning up.

Tigers did this in 2005. Didn't work.

Suns & Giants both got loaded up early. Didn't work.

North have had how many top picks? Hasn't worked.

The Dogs had a Grand Final team, added two top 5 picks in JUH & Darcy, and went backwards.

I ****ing hate this idea that loading up on "talented" kids means a flag is inevitable. There's so much more to it than that.

FMD our THREE best players all came from the rookie list!

Armstrong is a 2 grabber spud
Trainor has concussion issues
Jonty Faull over
Hotton is in ACL rehab and his brother didn't make it
Smillie's workrate is suspect
Lalor isn't rated by Gringo

Great trade at the end for them but I thought Richmond drafted strangely. For a club that is going to struggle to win a game in the near future they sure took some risky picks.
I didn’t like what they did early, it got better but I still preferred others, I wouldn’t be that confident although Trainor is a ripper.

What’s the thought on our first pick tomorrow all?
would love Dodson, but geelong are keen, expect a move from them & dogs have 2 picks before us,they love rucks & after English are pretty bare,of course richmond may take him themselves,so chances slim

shanahan i guess next, then i guess its between gross and boxshall, some token effort to make up for our mids disaster

if we go total st.kilda and those 4 are the first 4 taken, then i guess we go barrat, apparently we are into him
