Has the colonel seen the 40 trades and said, 'Nah, campaigners, gone too far this time, Colonel's out'?
Wouldn't have to see the smug bastard mocking a bloke for having a Barry. Happy days.

So what's the feeling on increasing trades to 40?

I think it’s over the top. Not advocating we go back to 20, but when I started playing you got 20 trades and you had to make sure that every single one of them counted. Made you think more. I feel like now that it’s just a case of doing any early corrections you want, jumping on any fallen premiums, taking any half-decent rookies on the bubble, moving on any injured players, etc without thinking twice, and still having plenty left over for sideways trades and other dumb sh**. Needs to be more accountability for starting picks. 40 trades means that in theory you could trade out every single one of your starting 30 and still have ten trades left. It’s fun to trade, but there needs to be a balance.

Yep 25 trades would be enough make you think about you team more .
Pick the players you want , puppies for not just for Christmas

I feel they want more traffic coming though..
Pay for peincl neck lap dancers :moustache:

Anyone know how to transfer your team picker? Mine hasn’t transferred over and I didn’t screen shot 😡
Mine did automatically.
And you have created your team name and all that?
Did you not have a full 30, maybe?
Think last year, if you had saved it with < 30, there was some bug and nothing transferred.

Lame, but inevitable.
Their solution to everything has been more trades.
Don't think they've innovated since scraping R4 for an extra mid.
DPP additions were copied from Fantasy, think they both brought in boosts the same year?

It's still a race to full premo, and we'll will all end up with the same team.
Think less people will take punts on left field players at the pointy end because they are out of trades and cash gen.
Just use one of the 4 extra trades to get more coin.
Reckon the last 6-8 weeks of the season will be even more boring than usual with minimal room to climb the ranks.

Reckon it all could have been avoided if they let you lock in R0 players and just get allocated their score during the early bye, but assume they were too worried about people loading up on too many R0 players and hamstringing their R1 team if it was only a partial lockout.

Could have even let people select them for R1 without using a trade but just not give them the bye score when it came around, would benefit those that did their research, but not lock people out from jumping on a rookie that's gonna fly up in price.

Assume that would be too hard to sell to the casual crowd though.

Yeah logged in created team name, and yep had the full 30.

Think mines just glitched out then, what a grind having to do it again 😂

25 trades + 5 boosts (30 total) would be ideal imo

keeps the spirit of limited trades format, with boosts incentivising finishing a team ASAP which means you should be struggling for injury trades in the back end of the year if you fluffed the starting team / sideway traded premos

What are peoples thoughts of a suggested two tier comp .....experienced and casual level ?

Experienced Level has along the lines of what you are suggesting .....30 trades and no boosts

Casual Level has the 40 trades, with 5 boosts

Other differentials could be built into the Experienced Level .....like no looping option, as an example.... Captains and Bench Players

I hate that idea because it could easily be manipulated with 2nd & 3rd accounts.

i dont think splintering the playerbase really helps with anything. would probably just lead to greater player retention issues if there is no real identity to supercoach with players capable of opting into different game experiences

for those who want a more trade heavy format, there are others to select from. i think supercoach should embrace its identity as being the limited trade format. what the best version of that is up for debate, but i think 40 trades diverts too far away from this identity.

IMO the casual or 'veteran' experience comes from whether one plays for primarily leagues against friends, or plays for overall rank. although there can be overlap between these two groups, i find most players fall primarily into one camp or the other

Controversial but they didn’t go far enough imo

Just make it unlimited trades each round. More aggressive price increases and drops from round 1. And best 18 scores each round

This addresses all the pain points, simplifies the game and will keep it engaging right up until the end.

in that case you should just play Fantasy

SC needs to add game play to differentiate itself from Fantasy imo. Give the coaches more moves make. As an example (like in EPL Fantasy) a once a season triple captain option.

I don't think the guys running it are interested in that though, seems like more trades is their answer for everything.

Don't mind the 40 trades:
1. Increased lost games via concussion protocol
2. More players being rested for a week ....think they call it management

But, the huge mistake was retaining the "boosts" & increasing trades .....should have dispensed with the boosts
