With Cumming and ANB confirmed, I'm holding out hope our off-season looks like this (assuming no more trade period gets):

ANB for F2
Cumming FA
late pick from GC for Himmelberg

Use 4 and 25 at the draft

In: 4, 25, ANB, Cumming, Welsh, Keane; Turray, Burgess, Strachan
Out: Himmelberg, McHenry, Gollant, Sloane, Burgess, Strachan; Parnell, Hamill

I'm assuming we don't pay anyone out. Agree he's useless

Also assuming us and GC strike a trade for a late pick for Himmelberg, so that we still get some kind of comp that can be used for Welsh points

Why would gold coast help us out when they have their own points to worry about re: Lombard?

Wasn't the problem with Sellar that he was a ruck in a KPF's body?

Welsh will be fine, particularly given he's got the athletic traits
If Sellar were playing today, he would be the perfect FWD / RUCK ....in the Jackson mould

He was still an effective ruck with his leap ....but the Crows tried to turn him into a KPF ....and he had no forward instincts

Just listened to Gettable with Twomey and Beveridge. Apparently Finn Maginness and Matt Owies might be gettable. Two experienced young players who fill list needs, and wouldn't cost much. Owies with ANB would release both Rankine and Rachele into the midfield. Magginess is a big bodied midfielder who can play on the wing and be a run with player when needed.

personally no to owies for me. i would only take elite speed into our forward line.

maginess i could be convinced depending on role ie he becomes our drew

Carlton lost to us in round 5 because Matt Owies kicked the ground instead of the ball when running into an open goal

Do not want under any circumstances

Nah, should have stuck to his volleyball...missed his true calling.

I'm good on both. Maginness is meh, and Owies is okay, but not really a need with the forwards we have

The "running man" Cooper Hamilton delisted by the Giants, one of the best endurance runners to ever come out of the Combine and a bazooka like boot probably not a need for us but has talent and would be at least decent AFL depth. If not given an AFL lifeline chazwazza and cleanhands mobs should be on the phone.

Maybe with the changes to the SANFL rules maybe the Crows could have a look as he has other great talents we could use in our media department...He's the guy behind some of the great media the Giants have put out over the last couple of years.

He can come in and run our social media team and play SANFL, guy is a laugh.

our social media/marketing team is the only thing besides burgess that is world class.... do not need this bozo
Are you fooking serious?

Our media Department aren't a patch on the Giants media and Cooper was a big part of that.

As for your bozo comment that's way out of line.

He's actually quite a good footballer too.

I'm not sure I'd take him with a list spot this off-season, but certainly as a SANFL top-up and for social media stuffs. Draft him mid-season if he impresses enough

Mates with Rachele too - from memory they went to Caulfield Grammar together.

Wouldn't mind types like him to be used as SANFL top-ups

He's certainly well and truly up to SANFL standard and quite possibly AFL if given the opportunities with his elite endurance and that bazooka boot.

Port, St Kilda, Hawthorn, Bulldogs, GC, Brisbane - teams off the top of my head with significantly better social media coverage than us. We may engage well with the older generation but not at all with the younger demographic by way of memes etc.

We'd probably be #1 at posts with sickly-sweet emojis like :blueheart:, or :yellowheart: (or all three) or 🥹 though

what exactly are you basing this on?
facebook posts, quality of website content, tiktok? what? because I've looked at all of them and I would violently disagree.

our website content is definitely the best... by a mile
