5 new players coming into the club this trade / draft period …..a rebuild that’s already completed, and a list that’s the best in the Clubs history
If you doubt that last statement …. identify the players who will develop into A grade
The Tassie comment doesn’t impact us, as we won’t be rebuilding …. same can’t be said for COLL & MELB …. and if RICH don’t nail this draft or fail to develop this years crop… they’re in trouble too
Pulled that one from a certain part of one’s anatomyNothing like premature list evaluation
The media also laughed at Hardwick in 2015, when he said the same about his list
Ladder position is not a reflection of list quality ….. there are many other factors involved; experience, injuries ect
But i’d match this list, after adding #4 as being our best depth ….. sure we’ve had absolute superstars, but not the depth of A graders we have now
Some people though can’t extrapolate talent to future scenarios
I think you need a number of elite players, and a depth of really good and good players.Richmond's premierships were built on having Dusty. They had a number of really good players but without him they don't win a flag.
I think we have the top end talent but not that absolute elite player. Hopefully that's pick 4 this year.
Soligo will never be elite.I think you need a number of elite players, and a depth of really good and good players.
Dawson, Rankine, Thilthorpe, pick 4 and probably two of Soligo, Max, Curtin or Rachele could be elite.
Fog, Hinge, Worrell, Keane/ Murray, Nank could be really good. Is it enough? Who knows. But it's a start. It's something.
Are the A graders?B graders......
Wll someone seems to agree with Wayno..
Can the Adelaide Crows go from bottom four to top four in 2025?
Andy Maher reckons the Crows could be up for a chance at the flag next year.www.sen.com.au
I missed the part where Andy Maher says its the best list we have ever assembled.
Adding 3 B graders makes all the difference.
It does make a massive difference when there were 8 games in 2024 that were decided by 8 points or less and we only won 2 of em.
Any way you want to grade ANB, Peatling and Cumming - having them in our side over spuds that played significant games in 2024 like Cook, Berry, Jones, McHenry, Jones, Murphy, Hamill, does make a massive difference.
*not saying that cook and Jones are certified spuds - but their 2024 was certainly potato like.
Not sure about that, Dusty was the cream for sure but none of those grand finals were that close where it would be a single player that got them over the line. Even all those finals they won, other than the 6 point win over Port, they were pretty comfortable.Richmond's premierships were built on having Dusty. They had a number of really good players but without him they don't win a flag.
I think we have the top end talent but not that absolute elite player. Hopefully that's pick 4 this year.
