They need to scrap academies altogether

How do they actually work? Do Suns just pick the best young talent and put them in their academy? can a player be a young gun and not be in an academy?

Scrap the Academies and watch Metro win by 100.

Change the draft rules by all means.

Have really like Dattoli’s game, hasn’t made the most of his chances, but always looks dangerous.

Luca Grego been really reliable off half back for VM, very reliable and composed.

First time watching any of the Vic Metro boys (watched the Allies v SA game).

Smith definitely the stand-out. If he had any sort of rig would be a clear number 1 IMO.

Also liked Kako, Grego down back and Oliver. Ashcroft looks a bit of a sook.

Annable for the Allies has been very good (lions academy ofc).

Shanahan (KPF) is one who might be available in the middle of the draft who I don’t mind. Like his aggression.

And they can’t take them all, particularly if the Suns get up towards the pointy end of the ladder.

We might be in a bit of predicament if a player is unable to separate themselves across the champs as pick 1. Trading down seems like the best option for mine but what would motivate a club to move up 1 in such an even draft pool.

I've got no issues with the northern academies existing. They should just have to pay a fair price to claim the players.

Should have to match with a pick within 5 spots in the draft.

Didn’t seem to play much in the second half, think he got a bit of a niggle. First half was ok

Pretty ineffective if I’m honest, got a few disposals really didn’t do much with it. Ashcroft and Smith done most of the heavy lifting in the first half

Jayden Nyugen would make a great small defender, dashing, makes good decision.

Kako...we can't miss again on a clever, crumbling and pressure small forward.

Worried about them being Essendon NGA...whatever, they won't change the NGA rules this year so suffer in ya jocks scum, don't think they'll be there at pick 41, at least not Kako.

Smillie was average, not bad but not great maybe the conditions regardless, if he is to be No.1, he should have been better.

Jagga continues to prove to me he is the best pure midfielder in this state at least. Yeah he has defensive deficiencies but he's a distributor not a grunt.

Trainor and Shanahan would be great targets.
