StKilda would be insane to not take Murphy Reid or Xavier Lindsey at 8. Just dumb if they don’t.Can we take a moment to appreciate the position we are in here. We traded up to 3 to acquire another gun mid to complement Cripps and Walsh. Yet a team like St. Kilda who need an elite mid desperately are likely to miss out on a decent mid if the phantoms play out that way. I was hesitant at first to admit trading up for 3 was the right idea, but it’s these kind of bold calls that can pay dividends. Kudos Austin.
As for Jagga.. he has a beautiful sidestep to weave out of traffic and seems to have terrific special awareness. Clean hands and a fraction of a second quicker than most to analyse the situation and move the ball on. The Butters comparisons are reasonably accurate. Moves very similarly and is slippery in congestion. He’ll fit in beautifully and has future captain vibes.
I see loads of Daicos in Jagga. I believe his impact could be the same in a professional environment.
Hoping we call out his name in a few nights time.

Jagga.Of the guys we are looking to draft at pick 3. Who has the best footy IQ?
Anyone else notice that most of the top prospects lack an opposite foot? Are coached not teaching this stuff anymore? What happened to the once a week session where all kicking drills were done on your weaker side?

You say that but his second half way way better and his interview on Gettable showed that he's infinitely coachable. Daicos had a lot of seagull possessions first few years. Jagga's footy IQ is right up there with Nick's. Plus he has leadership and maturity beyond his years. I see no reason why he can't get close if he adapts quickly and puts in the work.I see him as a slightly less damaging Daicos. Doesn't have the same kicking penetration and lacks goal threat.
His dads name is actually Mick hahaSmith's nickname has to be Mick, surely
Jagga is a beautiful kick of the footy and I think with time and work on his craft he can be as lethal by foot like DaicosYes. There is stacks of Daicos in Jagga. They play very alike. The difference is in the kicking. Daicos kicking is amazing. 55m goals on the right and 48m goals on the left at 18yo. Absolutely searing kick.
Jagga a great player but Daicos' kicking makes him elite.
You forgot Cody WalkerHaha, can’t wake to trade in Harley Reid end of next season. What an acquisition that will be.
Jagga Reid Walsh Cripps Cerra Hewitt
Dream Team
Jagga by a country mile.Of the guys we are looking to draft at pick 3. Who has the best footy IQ?
His kicking is one of his biggest knocks. Elite accumulator, extremely inconsistent ball user however.Jagga is a beautiful kick of the footy and I think with time and work on his craft he can be as lethal by foot like Daicos
From what I’ve watched and seen I think his a beautiful kick of the footy, wouldn’t say that his weakness. But that’s just my opinionHis kicking is one of his biggest knocks. Elite accumulator, extremely inconsistent ball user however.
I believe adding some size will help with his kicking considerably though. His decision making is nearly always superb.
Given Daicos will probably win multiple Brownlows and is a generational talent, I’m pretty happy with Daicos lite.Anyone else notice that most of the top prospects lack an opposite foot? Are coached not teaching this stuff anymore? What happened to the once a week session where all kicking drills were done on your weaker side?

Inconsistent ball user? You’re joking right. His kicking is one of his biggest knocks. Elite accumulator, extremely inconsistent ball user however.

that's my belief tooBut Cal said its Jagga IF FOS is off the board! So Cal is effectively saying we have FOS, then Jagga. Its just that most ITKs have FOS going top 2 now
who isInconsistent ball user? You’re joking right.
