I mean realistically we probably don't do it, buuuuut

Just going to be exciting to watch another game with a team that goes out and has a proper crack

Sportsbet has us at $5.75, with the Roos at $1.13.
And to be honest, those odds are probably right this week. However the odds ahead of the Hawks game were miles off. It's an old stupid saying, but the Hawks hadn't played anyone! They should have been favs, but the odds were way over the top.

Probably the easiest $100 I’ll ever make.

Just believe girls and dont limit yourselves.

Norf are obviously a good team, on paper the best side in it, but finals arent played on paper. They only have to be a tiny bit off, or for us to bring that little bit of extra pressure, for us to be right in this. Take your chances and do everything to prevent them taking theirs.

Just win ****ing

Would’ve been cool if crows knocked off north, which they nearly did for a showdown prelim.

A showdown gf probably seems like a bridge too far but you never know, I think they can definitely win but I reckon north will probably be too strong.

But the fitness seems really strong, so if we are within distance at 3/4 time they’ve shown they’ve got a really strong ability to run over the top.

Need to find a way to level things out early. Hawthorn completely dominated territory for 3 quarters, basically lived in their front half and you’d suspect north would put port away in the circumstances.

It’s a shame Erin couldn’t have hung on for one more.

Unpopular opinion, but perhaps we are a better team without her now?

I can’t prove this but before the season started, I thought that we might be but I never actually said it.

I think Erin as a crafty half forward like the ageing John Cahill back in the day might have added a bit, but youth will be served.

Sachi Syme was unlucky not to ice the game late at half forward.

You could be right, she was getting on in age and had a very long sporting career with some bad injuries. Even last year though, you could tell she still had the class that others didn’t have even if time had caught up with her.

But from a romantic point of view it would’ve been nice, especially if it somehow ends up a showdown gf.

I remember a game in 1997 at Princes Park vs the Western Bulldogs.

Caught the overnight Port bus, went to the Vic markets etc etc.
Went with my mother and one of her sisters (that many around the club know).

Blown away in the first quarter.
Won the game.
Will never forget that game, it was played with real Port Adelaide spirit.

Blows my mind to think that none of yesterday's side were even born then.

============

I saw the same thing when watching that last quarter yesterday.
I nearly bloody cried, I thought I'd never see that spirit again.

Play to the Creed and leave your best on the park and you will have our respect, whatever happens.
Well played yesterday.

Honestly Id rather build rivalries with real football clubs rather than continue the comparisons to the joke franchise across the road.

The rivalry with Hoks and Tiges has definitely gone up in the last 2 weeks.
