GWS was in Melbourne too.

They have definitely improved this year but their table position is false.

Crazy that we don't play Hawks, Saints or Eagles until round 21 and they are our last 3 opponents.
While it will be nice to hopefully carry what should be some winning form heading into finals, it would be nice to play some tougher teams, so we're a bit more hardened when the real stuff starts.
Possibility of complacency from playing a few games in a row of bruise free footy for easy wins.

That’s a lot of guys to roll though the midfield. Expecting reduced game time across the board this week.

Kennedy, Elijah and Fog will most likely spend the majority of time forward

Personally, I'd like to see Kennedy spend more time in the middle

I too would like to see more Kennedy in the midfield - but Hewett and Carroll are less effective as forwards.
Hollands has added some flexibility to our midfield in the past couple of weeks - I’m bullish on him surpassing Kennedy and Hewett in that mix, maybe not this year.

so we're favourites, but it's not like we put much between teams and ourselves. essendon are likely to always be a chance even if were to get out to a 5 goal lead heading into the last. i'm very interested in seeing where essendon are at given all the talk about who they've played.
would expect harry to have an advantage if he's asking his brother to follow him around the ground. hope we don't need curnow to pull the game out of the fire at the start of the 3rd quarter. he finished off strong but you'd like to think cripps would start better than last week. cincotta to make merrett or some other skinny runner question their choice of underwear colour.

bit of heat in this one. there's going to be some very spicy game threads.
hello to all the unhinged people reading everyone's preview threads. looking forward to celebrating wildly or crying wildly, probably do both in the last quarter.

This is the team I hate the most - just looked at the recent games against them and we are up 3-1 but all I remember is the one loss which was last year right after the Curnow meet up - I don’t even remember the one point win back in 2020 - while I’m shocked that they are in second place I’m also glad that when we win it’s against a team with hope and form and not a team at the bottom of the ladder

Bout time we move into the Top 2 on the ladder

The 1 point win was a Covid game at the MCG. Jacob Townsend kicked for goal after the siren and Liam Jones rushed it through with his head.

Rumour swirling around that there's a late change. Harry McKay out...

... to the shops and decides he'd rather get a Pepsi instead of a Coke.

If the rest of the results go as they are tipped to do, this suddenly shapes up as a mammoth game. Win and we're a game clear in 2nd. Lose and we're 7th and potentially fall out of the 8 next week.

Thanks Dermie.

Had a dream last night that we were 7 goals to 1 at quarter time. Go on the win by 62 points.
Walsh to bounce back and consistently lower his eyes and deliver pinpoint passes to our forwards.
Jack Carroll to have a break out game and have 27 possies.
Elijah to get on the end of four and Kennedy to kick a couple.
Cinc to continue his excellent form and matchup on Durham. Two hard nuts, would be a tough battle. I will back Cinc.
