How far ahead of Penry do you think he realistically is?
About 40 picks.. ;)

I'd compare Flynn at the same age favourably with another Rebels product I saw plenty of coming through Lloyd Meek, both decent tap ruckmen that get involved around the ground with pretty decent footskills.

Maybe not a Max Gawn but a very competitive AFL ruck prospect.

Around 20, give or take.

We need a project ruck, and hes the best one in the draft with HUGE scope for improvement. Would be a bit early, but not uncomfortably so.
Surely there would be better players than Dodson there at 12?

Haven't we just learned again how irrelevant rucks are for a successful club?

Irrelevant ??

I mean we dont have a good one, let alone a very good one (prospect)

So go get one.

All you need is a Darcy Fort. Nothing is more irrelevant than ruckmen.
So why does everyone complain about ROB then ? .......because ROB is better than Sweet / Fort

Seems again, opinions are blowing in the breeze ....and people have the audacity to criticise list management

He's not in the top twelve players and ruck isn't a desperate need. ROB is an adequate stand in, and we can trade for someone when we know we're competing.
Or we get the best ruck prospect and he will be ready when we are

Can you name another ruckman on our list not in his late 20s ??
The joke about this ruckman isn’t important argument is would Brisbane have made the GF with Fort leading the ruck isn’t of McInerney?

Would Sydney have made the GF without Grundy? Doubt it as their side was basically 2023 Sydney with Grundy.

Sydney mids shit the bed. Team lays only 33 tackles in a GF. But hey it’s the ruckman.

A quality ruckman only requires one pick or a trade and yet clubs spend multiple picks on trying to find a midfield combination, so what is the better investment?

Yeah 12 is an awkward spot.

Theres likely to still be some quality on-ballers around and its a touch early for Alex, but given what weve now seen from Strachan, the need for Dodson would be tough to ignore.
Can’t pick on needs at pick 12 in this draft

Need to go with talent order

Could be an absolute ripper there

Of course May rate Dodson talent high but it’s not about having one player in mind
