None the less, nearly every gf side has a “murphy”.
Not who plays every match for seasons on end and is in the leadership group

Most of the "duds" like Keating or Rintoul who get mentioned were in and out of the team and not on the list for that long

Murphy's equivalent as an "honest trier" who's always picked and is in the leadership group is someone like Mark Bickley which gives you an idea of how far we've lowered the bar

But hopefully with these fresh arrivals we've realised this and are taking steps to address it :)

This, every premiership side has a Murphy.

None have a Murphy who plays hundreds of games over a decade long career.

With the GWS best and Fairest tomorrow night I don’t think Peatling would announce if he is leaving until at least Thursday or Friday
If he’s staying he might announce that at the B&F

You’d think the last offer from GWS would’ve come by now, now that Perryman’s officially gone

Could Berg be worked into a trade for Peatling as to not affect GWS compensation for Cumming?
There has been a couple of unconfirmed reports that GWS have got Himo to do a medical. If this is true then it is very likely that this is because of a potential trade for Peatling.

GWS’s interest in Himo joining his brother cooled this year as it would affect their FA compo for Cumming if they took him as a FA, however if they feel that they are going to be trading with Adelaide anyway for Peatling, and now that it looks like they are going to be losing 6 or 7 players, maybe that interest has rekindled.

We aren’t getting anything for him anyway so win/win/win maybe for us, GWS and Himo.

Port Power board already lamenting their “soft forward line” in 2025 with Marshall, Luko, Finlayson and Mitch G. None of them are crash and bash players like TT. Even The Fog and Tex are much harder than anyone of that quartet.

Imagine giving uo your 3/4th best player for Luko…Please let that happen
They are all similar, only Georgiadis is different as he has a leap.

The Berg is a free agent, can't see him effecting their Cumming/Perryman compo surely?

How does the compo work, it would be a nothing pick anyhow?

not this year, that comes in next year
Ok yep thanks man. Admittedly not worth much:

Pick 55 = 200 points
Pick 30 (welsh?) = 600 poimts

It all helps I suppose esp if combined with our pick 42 would enable the matching of Welsh - its so SO cheap to match and the much needed changes next year are welcome IMO esp considering the burgoening Nth Academies

Not sure if it’s been said here but I saw GWS have presented him with a revised 4 year offer. They’re very keen to keep him, especially because he is a NW Sydney boy. He may well stay.
