He went to the combine didnt he?

Just clicked, but are those nominated for the draft allowed to train with clubs? He may not even be able to.

Yeah, I would be very surprised if Tyler was allowed to after the SANFL season ends. I imagine the AFL would be very scared of anything that could allude to draft tampering, even in the case of academy/father sons.

Why not he's not your ordinary draftee he's a F/S that's trained with the team during the year apart from when required for the U18's program?

Also the crew Tex gets together isn't a problem, it's voluntary so that's an individual not club sanctioned training

It really is funny how stage managed the trade period is.

These negotiations were already done well before today. Most likely fleshed out before the trade period.

Trade Period is theatre.

Extend it out to give the talking heads enough time to generate discussion/click bait. They spin as much BS as they want. In between the ads on Trade Radio...
Then trickle feed a few minor trades.
The day before the end a controversial trade to generate discussion/clickbait.
Then create a TV event and have the majority of players movement occur during that telecast.View attachment 2144969
It’s an absolute wank. Just another thing the AFL have botched.

Thats my impression. May explain why he dropped off his fitness so much. But the club surely would have sent him a personalised training program to prepare him for pre season anyway. But yeah, I genuinely am under the impression there are rules, thats why you dont see draftees out at pre season and touring clubs before the draft. Which is fair. The only draftees allowed to go and train are the pre season draftees who the club has to get permission.

I think the deal favours us and it was GWS who caved.

This was good batting from Hamish who sought some steak knife picks for next year. Much better deal than us on here predicted.
Does Hamish make these deals or Reid? I thought Hamish was the draftees and Reid the trades and contract management?

You do understand that the early training Tex has set up isn't actually club sanctioned training, it's lads getting in some early fitness for the pre-season. It will be interesting when Tyler is officially a Crow how he goes in the run on the 1st day, hopefully he'll have been told about Zac Taylor's preparation a couple of year's ago./

No , he can train with lads . Absolutely no issue

Some draftees train with established players , it’s happened many times over

I have no idea. You are arguing about a technicality. But regardless if he isnt training, either he turned it down or he cant make it because of year 12.
