that rules out rooI would have thought if we had a DoC it'd be someone who has had senior coaching experience at AFL level.

Oh goodness stop with your continued made up stories, I thought you spent your time ear’s dropping at hotels in Melbourne or was that Texas? Its training... they're referring to it is laughable. No intensity, too much mucking around. Its not professional theyre right. I had more time this year so could be in adelaide more and go and it was frightening.
More frightening is the players stuck straining in the Bs. for anyone who has watched that its like watching auskick train....
I would have thought if we had a DoC it'd be someone who has had senior coaching experience at AFL level.
Hi GraemeWhat are your credentials for assessing the intensity and professionalism of AFL training sessions?
Why do we invent things that haven't happened to get upset about?Lol .. we're getting to the bottom of this new "Director of Football" role now
Olsen mentioned when he pushed through limiting directors term lengths that he'd was working on finding a solution to keeping Roo in a "hands on role" at the club
Fvcking club is trolling us again .. hahahaha
It's no wonder no-one from the club reached out to chat to Neil Balme .. hahahaha
We're fvcked
An absolute sh*tshow
Calm down Alexwell having seen quite a few trainings over 30 years I wouldn't say this was anywhere near the level I have seen from other squads in other periods. sorry but its honest opinion.
im talking match play, skills work etc and as i said the Bs is horrendous from the two sessions of that i saw this year.
bigman gives awesome reports i too would like to hear if he thinks the intensity is AFL standard compared to the top melb clubs
one can compare season to season when youve seen a lot over the yearsWhat are your credentials for assessing the intensity and professionalism of AFL training sessions?
We're trying to find roles to bring more senior and experienced staff in.I am wondering if we have created that role specialising for Montgomery. It has been reported he may be keen to come, and it sounds like the other coaches are not going anywhere. So by creating this new role they have a position for him.
doesn't deserve a responseCalm down Alex
The only thing I will say is it can lead to resentment (why does he get to slack off just because he has kids) as it can in any work place - so either the seniors have to show they're getting the required info elsewhere or the younger players also get flexibility as needed.I think being able to go pick up your kids is great and that choosing to get upset about something like that, which has ~zero impact on results but makes people feel better at work, is a misdirection of emotional energy.
Carn mate .. take a Bex and have lie down while I have a glorious melt over our clubs incompetenceWhy do we invent things that haven't happened to get upset about?
There's zero chance Roo is taking a paid job at the club - because the pay is shit house. He would earn 5x as much through his media and investment roles.
Why do people feel the need to make something up, and then get angry at the club about it?
Mmmm ....you say you've only seen two training sessions this year ....do you think that's anywhere near an adequate sample size to generalise about training standardsone can compare season to season when youve seen a lot over the years
there is such a thing as relative performance not just absolute performance
did you hear the hawks players say they realised at round 5 training was a bit of a joke and really amped it up? well im just saying i think we could AMP the **** out of it
ROB has serious life ambition after football. It wouldn't surprise me if he retired so he can start them.Still need a long term replacement but I can see ROB having a good 2025 as it’s his contract year.
Wasn’t the name stiffy18 or something similar?Random question, I generally frequent this board around this time of year, but haven't done so for a few years. I remember there used to be a regular poster called "Stiffy" obviously after Stiffy Johncock. Out of interest does anyone know if "Stiffy" is still around but perhaps have renamed themselves?
Just curious.
Also, appreciate all those posters willing to share their rumours. Even if the source might be from the neighbours uncle's cousins brother and is complete bollocks. At least it makes for interesting banter.
Yeah, stiffy18 rings a bellWasn’t the name stiffy18 or something similar?
Yeah, and he had a profile pic of Boogie Cousins for a good period of timeWasn’t the name stiffy18 or something similar?
It wasn’t that they extended Nicks. Based on the yearly improvements to the end of last year, they were well justified for extending him in the offseason (we all expected them to). BUT, they needed to have announced it pre-season to make it “work”. By holding off until after the first game, which was a loss, just compounded it. It wasn’t the decision persay, but the timing of the announcement that just stunk to high heaven. Announce it preseason OR wait until the bye before starting the conversation (based on performances). It was extremely poorly handled.
No, just.. noBased on the yearly improvements to the end of last year, they were well justified for extending him in the offseason (we all expected them to).
No, just.. no
If we'd made continued strides mid-way through this season, an extension would be justified. We shouldn't have given one out while Nicks was still a finals-less coach
I feel like the club not only drank, but got drunk on the 'we would've made finals if Keays was awarded the goal against the Swans' bathwater
With 1 year left the only reason they had to re-sign him early was to limit the noise and as we’ve seen it was a wrong decision then and it’s a horrendous one now.It wasn’t that they extended Nicks. Because we are sick of being shit. Why do you and other clappers invent reasons to be supportive of the club? Why do we invent things that haven't happened to get upset about?

Sorry but you're thinking, like so many others around Nicks re-signing is just wrong .....it's a naive thought process, which shows a lack of experience in these mattersNo, just.. no

You used to be a very good poster ....somewhere, you simply fell into the pack of illogical thinkers ....I rarely read your posts these days, and that was never the case in years gone by
