Good on him for attempting to play out the game. Must have been what Ross was talking about in the press conference about being proud of how brave he was.

Huge hole in the forward line now with him and Caminiti out
What’s the extent? Do we know yet?

Hope you are right. The year is done anyway. Put him on ice and get him ready for next year
This is just my opinion.

A Jay Clark exclusive means it’s club fed (RTB) info. People are knocking Max’s effort. Showing he stayed on the park with a “serious” knee injury shows how tough he was and he battled.

If it was an ACL - Cleary Twomey Morris would be all over it like a big in shit.

(Atleast I’m clutching to the above)

The article says PCL no?

Yeah it does.

I’m just saying I don’t think there is ACL damage.

When a specialist reviews. You get a clear understanding of the extent.

Example - Lenny did his the first time. Played out the game. Had a sore knee. Saw a specialist and thus uncovered the ACL with a few other issues

Gee whizz the kid just can't take a trick. In some ways an early finish to the season for him probably ain't such a bad thing. Free up his mind and get his body right for a huge preseason.

Just a guess but I wonder if it's from when he went for that mark diving low.

This is Max's third knee injury this year (he was sent for scans on both April 14th and June 2nd). The first two were reported as bone bruising. I haven't been paying attention to which knee he's been injuring, but it's a bit odd that this is the third time he's injured a single body part in a season.

I wonder if he's been carrying another injury elsewhere that has put pressure on the knee. It would explain his form slump, his lack of effort of games, the club's vehement support etc.

You often see in sports, when an athlete is overcompensating for one injury (and trying to avoid pressure and contact to one body part), another body part gets injured. It just strikes me as strange that this is the third time one player has gone in for scans (in a handful of months) to check for a serious knee injury.

Either that, or the injury in April has been the cause for the other knee complaints. It's just odd.

Sounds like bullshit but it’s the best thing to do anyhow. Get him right physically and mentally and get him to sit in the coaches box with Rtb and Harves for the rest of the season.

Exactly my arguement that the club and RTB play injured players exposing them to other injuries and poor form.

In any event I apologise to Max for comments on his efforts in last weeks game, but the fact that he is so injury prone and lacks the body to cope with the game highlights why he should be traded. He is never going to be any different he runs around like bambi, make the hard decision Saints and get something for him while you can.
