If we get Darling he will, game for game , kick more goals in the season and be more dominant than Zuurhar...
I have two responses.

1. I agree with this statement.
2. This statement is not a positive.

Is Nathan O’Driscoll gettable?
Out of the Freo lineup most of the year due to injury but should sign a new deal
Linked in the paper the other day to Power:

“Sources have told The West Australian that the Power, who will take on Geelong in the qualifying final tomorrow night, are eyeing O’Driscoll to add further outside run to their side.

O’Driscoll played the final two AFL games of the season after being hampered by a knee injury for most of the 2024, starting as the sub against Greater Western Sydney before giving the Power a first-hand look at his talents with 20 disposals and a goal.”

Mate if we could do all that I would happily have Darling..

But why are we not attractive destination for top players?

The answer is not as obvious as because we are at bottom.

Firstly: We don't have anywhere near the top 8 medical team.

Second: Our ability to develop players is terrible.

Third: Post career opportunities

We need to forget about recruiting any xyz names until we professional raise the standard drastically first.

I think the answer is we are at the bottom

I’m happy with landing just the below 3 experienced players then hitting the draft with 2 (or split it for 6 and 10/12) and 22

Pick in the late 50s for darling
Pick 40 for Parker
Future 3rd for Lobb

Gives us flexibility with the ability to switch Lobb and comben either end

If we don’t get Lobb then happy to keep playing teakle as the KPF that pinch hits ruck but lose a bit of flexibilty of being able to swap with chom in game

B: Archer Logue Corr
HB: Goater Comben Mckercher

HF: Parker Lobb/teakle Simpkin
F: zurhaar larkey darling

And then on the bench you have a 7th forward and defender which could be a number of players
Are we really expecting Sydney to trade Parker for pick 40?

Also players don't want to play infront of 10k fans each week.

That's on us... if we have 50k members take away 10k for pets, interstates, invisible family members, take 5k away as members just being away, should get min 30-35k weekly then with oppo supporters that should mean 40k each week minimum even with interstate clubs.... at marvel that will feel packed. Supporters no doubt will come when we start winning more

We have the 3rd most amount of members in WA. Almost 10,000 paid up, awesome souls.

What you're saying is probably true, however realistically we should be getting
/aiming for 30,000 North fans at each home game - which seems pretty doable, especially if we are half decent!

We ought to focus on controlling the controllables first!

That forward line will get absolutely murdered on the rebound. Way too slow.

Listening to Luke Parker just now on sen, sounds like he’s a very good chance he’s coming to North.

Asked about North and his future- you can never rule out what the future looks like, he is contracted and enjoying the finals.

Have they reached out North?

I’ll focus on footy and my manager will look after that!
