When the finally ditch Kenny, they face the real prospect of realising he over preformed as coach and in the process having to mini rebuild when Tassie comes in.
They do know Tassie is coming in, don't they ?

Not strictly true - Nank, Aliir & Dawson are pretty handy players. We did get dudded with Stephens though... bad.
As if LMac would do any better last night tho, lol.Rozee is an example of why we should wait before making Sheeze captain.
Doesn't pass the sniff test. Surprising with so much capacity.I think we all know if we are being honest with ourselves. The truth is staring us all in the face. :stern look
I admire that he’s been loyal to GC despite how bad they’ve gone. It’s probably the spur he needs, could be our Mason WoodI say in the mature bracket we need leaders and competitors more than outright talent.
Hard no for JL. Another flakey player long conditioned to a culture of losing.
The GMan would be ready to make an impact almost immediately. Even if all of 2025 was working on his endurance he'd be well and truly ready in 26.Agree on KPF's being there at the 2nd round mark. Important to realise that because of the "type" of KPF we need to complement Larkey that anyone we recruit this year from the draft is very unlikely to be ready for major impact til at least 2027... We need 1 or 2 extra on the list for over the next couple of years even if only to replace Larkey in 5-6 years, but anyone we bring in is not likely to be a huge impact player for us next year. If we want more KPF options to move up the ladder we likely need to look outside the draft.
Yep. Need two minimum IMO and Curtis, Zurhaar, Duursma etc can work around them. Assume for sake of argument that RHJ continues to improve after a full preseason we need at least another minimum next to him.
How to put it nicely without offending .....NOPE!!!The GMan would be ready to make an impact almost immediately. Even if all of 2025 was working on his endurance he'd be well and truly ready in 26.
Aaron Davey, Isaac Smith. Well trodden path.
Lol, they won’t be the first or last team to over evaluate their list. They do know Tassie is coming in, don't they ?
lol all good, the beauty of it is we can wait and see. I just hope we're seeing while he's in our jumper. How to put it nicely without offending .....NOPE!!!
Just leave them for the good teams aye.FWIW I don't think we should have used national draft capital on Mannagh and it wasn't necessary. We have not once picked someone who was crushing it in the VFL up in the MSD, which is a free hit.
Hmmmm......Look at the age difference between North vs Geelong.
Geelong are better, but have 4 or 5 years maturity on our boys (exc Jaidyn)
And I havent done the research, but I would imagine the Geelong boys have 50 plus more game experience than our lot.
Not saying our boys will be just as good, but sometimes patience and time is what you need.
The difference is Rozee might be able to turn it around if he's three years older and has three years more experience and mental toughness. However because of that loss he may never develop that mental toughness now.As if LMac would do any better last night tho, lol.
Its more to do with ball movement imo. Look at Geelongs key defenders, nothing special there. Its more Geelong's team defense before the ball even gets there.Lol, they won’t be the first or last team to over evaluate their list.
You’d hope by now Georgiades and Marshall would’ve taken the number one mantle by now.
The fact they went with Dixon, over the latter is pretty damning. Surprised they didn’t throw Soldo a life line before Dixon.
Finlayson can’t be that much of a loss can he?
And that’s not even going into their defenders, they need to get a group of decent talls in.
l wouldnt use one of our picks on him but l would look at making him a rookie pick...lol all good, the beauty of it is we can wait and see. I just hope we're seeing whiles he's in our jumper.
Lots of good players who can out body and mark, speed coming off the backline and players with pinpoint accuracy being able to hit targets. Its more to do with ball movement imo. Look at Geelongs key defenders, nothing special there. Its more Geelong's team defense before the ball even gets there.
Have a look at the experience around them - Dangerfield, Duncan, Blizcavs and Stanley have probably played 100+ finals between them and won a bucketload of flags.Just putting this out there. Could last night's game be a wakeup call to some here about the overvaluing of gun mids in today's game?
How does a team with a midfield of Atkins, Bowes and Bruhn smash one with Rozee, Butters and JHF?
Its speed, Holmes slaughtered them, Danger solid and JHF played pretty well given they benched him for the start of every quarter. Then their small fwds of Stengle, Mannagh, Miers, Close running up and down all night.Just putting this out there. Could last night's game be a wakeup call to some here about the overvaluing of gun mids in today's game?

Its mind boggling to me people cant see it.What don't you see in him KK?
The same way that same midfield smashed ours. The Cats midfield of no names is massively underrated.Just putting this out there. Could last night's game be a wakeup call to some here about the overvaluing of gun mids in today's game?

That certainly helps. But mostly Geelong just outran and outworked them with a better balanced team.Have a look at the experience around them - Dangerfield, Duncan, Blizcavs and Stanley have probably played 100+ finals between them and won a bucketload of flags.
Don’t underestimate the guidance and experience they would’ve passed on leading up to the game and during the game - especially when Port got those mini run-ons, Geelong’s old heads just steadied the ship and got them back in total control.
We can only dream of experience like that for our kids, that’s why Parker would be such a perfect fit right now.
