I watched On the Couch and 360 and was feeling a bit down. Who can blame me! But watching the North woes and a bit of criticism of us drove me to suggest a merger. Might also have been the last drink I had.

North are heading for a Pick 1 in the draft. Poor kid. We are in the no man’s land in mid table. Can’t get a superstar. Unless we jag a pick down the order and whoever we get develops into a jet.

Be good to come out and beat Port, although I can’t see it.

And back on topic. We want the draft, so trades are tough. Not much currency. And we have a bucket of money. But it’s hard to see who we might spend it on. List isn’t big of free agents.

Lets not even talk about their Academy , they have 64 boys in the under 18 category and about the same number in every age bracket down to under 13 so you're talking around 384 kids from ages 13-17 plus another 70 plus from north Qld .

Not to even mention how many full time coaches and staff they have , its off the charts

The idea of employing Gubby is that he sells the club to players and managers, or what's the point of having Gubby if it can't be done?

A lot of players knock back big money offers.
Yes they want financial security but think you’ll find the lure for most players is winning a premiership..
