After seeing that West Coast trade, I want to clutch picks 7 and 8 to my chest and sing them a lullaby.

That compo pick was absolute gold.

My thinking is more along the lines that If North land Houston using their F1 directly - we are a chance.

If North trade that F1 for 13 for Houston. Then clearly we aren’t

This trade is bewildering. Seems like WC are getting royally bent over. Compromising their draft position that badly to get f**king Liam Baker.

And Owies isn’t even steak knives. He’s the free plastic cutlery at a food court

What are WCE thinking. Very strange approach to a rebuild

Their trade thread is literally melting. Surely if they were this desperate we could have got involved.

They could have taken 8 and 27 of us and packaged our and their second for Baker.

Surprised they just don’t take 3 to draft and pick up baker later in the draft or preseason.

Seriously confused, maybe north getting rewarded with free picks for stuffing up their rebuild had embolden the eagles to do dumb stuff and wait for the AFL to reward it.

Exactly, Carlton & Collingwood have/ need to win everything they apply for and these stupid list managers are letting them.
AFL need to sort this bullshit out.

This is triggering flashbacks to St Kilda trading pick 12 for Tom Lee and a 2nd rounder. Except they’re giving up pick 3 in a supposed super draft. So… worse.

We ended up lucky that the 2012 draft is one of the worst of all time. We eventually ended up with the 2nd and 3rd best players taken after pick 12 for free which highlights how bad that draft was (Grundy would have been nice though)

But if this draft is as good as advertised, it's one of the worst trades made in a very long time.

Did we even make a play for Pick 3? WCE were ripe for the taking here accepting a deal like this. I want us to get more active with WCE and GC they have shown to be the weak links in trade period lets poach them like the Geelong, Richmond, Carlton etc

My guess would be that we couldn't offer something that was considered "right" for Baker. So they've accepted this crappy deal because it gives them a pick to overpay Richmond with.
