Darcy is going to be an issue height wise. Once he gets those hands up you won't get close. Not sure Weitering will get away with playing from behind. Probably has to be side on and try and outbody him.
Not sure Young should be playing. Was dissapointed with his performance on Chol. And don't need him as a back up ruck if Harry is back and Charlie is good to goI think Weiters will be taking Naughton and Young will be given the job on Darcy.
Lobb might get rubbed out, in that case they might bring in Buslinger or switch Naughton down back.

Wilson was terrible in the VFL.After the VFL:

Doc and Cottrell supporting the wing rotation, Kemp and the small forwards constantly supplementing the midfield.
Wilson not far away, wing experiment needs to happen in the VFL.

Kemp to the VFL – Develop as a Forward
Kemp needs to go back to the VFL and play exclusively as a forward to earn his spot at AFL level. Right now, he looks completely lost—his positioning, awareness, and footy IQ just aren’t where they need to be. Physically, he’s got the tools to be a weapon, but until he develops the smarts and instincts of a dangerous forward, he’s not offering enough. Let him grind it out, build his craft, and come back when he’s ready to have real impact.
Young Over Haynes & McGovern – Time to Move Forward
I thought Young looked better down back than both Haynes and McGovern if not in skill then in overall consistency of effort. This should be the year we move on from McGovern in the best 22 and focus on the future. Silvagni can play the role we expect from Haynes/McGovern more effectively, and we all know you’ll never question his effort. The only way one of those two (McGovern or Haynes) stays in is if SOS doesn’t come up from whatever niggle forced him off the ground.
Boyd In – Quarterback from Half-Back
Boyd comes in to provide the skill and composure that’s missing in our defensive half. If his foot skills are as good as people say, then he should be given the role of the primary ball-user out of defence, allowing Saad to focus on his attacking run. Cowan can be developed across the year, while Hollands moves into the wing/half-back rotation that the club envisioned for him. Wilson comes in for much-needed pace and experience at AFL level.
McKay In, Moir to Start
If McKay is fit, he comes straight back in—simple as that. Curnow should improve with another game under his belt. The addition of Moir should give us some spark, but I don’t want to see him thrown in as the sub. He needs to start and play a full game or, if he’s not quite ready to run out all four quarters, be subbed off late. The best way to develop him is to push him and let him feel what’s required at AFL level over a full game.
Docherty – A VFL Reset Might Be Needed
We all love Doc, no question. But if he can’t handle the pace and pressure of AFL right now, he needs to go back to the VFL for a few weeks. Give him time to find his legs again, regain confidence, and help mentor the younger guys. If he can build back into form, he earns his recall—simple as that.
Playing on ball. Better with more space imo.Wilson was terrible in the VFL.

Dogs are pretty tall down the line and really I don't want to see Weitering one out vs Darcy with Naughton etc trying to block his run.You don't think that defence is a bit too tall?
Big chance to win especially if Lobb gets suspendedWe could beat them, but won't be easy. They were pretty good last night, only losing by a goal to Oldiewood + umpires.
I thought 1 of Chol's early marks/goals was a clear free kick to Young. His eyes were totally focused on Young, not the incoming ball when he chose to solidly bump him in the marking contest.Young isn't at the top of anyone's list for the job...
But to his credit, he had a poor start on Chol but got better as the night went on.
Height wise, he's unfortunately probably our best option.
I feel like Newman may have been way more of a stabilising influence back there than we even realised. Unfortunately can't help that though, can only play the cards we've been dealt.
If the rest of the back line shapes up a bit I believe Young can do a decent enough job, he's done it before, although I never want the ball in his actual hands if it can be helped.
Ill take Young over Haynes everydayYoung isn't at the top of anyone's list for the job...

Jones a good chance to return for them.Young has a lot of trouble with Harry at training. How’s he gonna cope with Darcy. He needs help. I think playing all of our key defenders might be the go this week. But at what cost. If they lose lobb to suspension for punching cox then they’ll have no height in their backline which could be a problem for us if it hits the deck too often.
