The Balta forward move didn’t work, not sure the Gibcus would either.

Some players are just not suited to playing forward. Couldn’t imagine Jake Lever for example cutting it as a kpf and I think Gibcus is a similar type.

Maybe Gibcus could be the exception and capable of playing both ends (not many current players do this) but particularly this year coming back from a major injury I’d settle him down back

Balta started up fwd early 22 I think and was good.. started to show some ability to work with Lynch and JR.
I would give gibcus a good trial up fwd.
We have ridiculous number of KPDs.
Especially if tarrant returns

Gibcus is more a similar type to Naughton than Lever. Naughton goes pretty good forward afyer starting as a back...

I just think it’ll be tough for a kid coming back from a significant injury, in his 2nd year to play a role that he’s not familiar with.

Grimes- coming to the end of his career
Tarant- he’s cooked.
Broad a chance to leave under FA
Miller not a kpd at AFL level,
Bauer we haven’t seen, Biggie briefly.

No big fan of that finger pointer. Apart from BT lubing plenty before asking to be gentle, this Godees campaigner demands his teammates do hard yards so he can saunter in and breeze another uncontested. Bruise free big mouth.

Gibcus already, good for a contest. Doesn't squeal, no shirk. Let's hope he continues to be Nick Riewoldt like for our club. Back or forward.

The other git, he can continue to make big calls that screw his team.

Broad has said publicly he doesn't want to leave. And Young has been great for a first year. If we got Himmelberg then yeah settle Gibcus in defence.

I keep wanking on about Bauer down back but fmd he looks good back there in VFL. Like taking contested marks, spoiling, running it out and hitting targets. He's even started directing traffic and looks a real leader back there. I'm super keen to see him in the seniors. If he comes good we can really start committing Gibbo to forward development mode. Last time we had a freak athlete with a leap and mark game like him at that height it was Richo.

no it doesn't, there are heaps of times he could physically impose himself on a contest and he doesn't.

In open space, maybe, but averaging 9 touches a game, he's not impacting anywhere near the amount he should with his size, pace and athleticism.

was recruited as a defender was switched forward and has been a revelation. I reckon with our lack of KPF depth this year Gibcus should be played as a Forward to see if we might have something to work with. Riewoldt has looked completely cooked the last 2 weeks same as against the blues. Time to start taking the load off Riewoldt and trial Gibcus, Bauer and Bradtke up forward. Got plenty of depth down back with Biggie as well.

I think grimes should retire tbh , his Impact has diminished significantly , at some point you gotta create spots and when you’re losing more games than you win , that’s the ruddy time to do it
