Got the win but it’s amazing the number people both in here and on twitter frustrated with the tactics

refusing to concede a potential 4 off the 5th or 6th ball to get broad on strike was a mistake even if we won, we barely bowled a ball to broad in the first 50 runs of that partnership it was exactly what stokes wanted he didnt have to worry about new man at the crease getting out.

Plan cant be just let stokes attack till he mistimes one have to make some effort to bowl more at the other man.

That's the ground where I first learned, as an 11 year old, about England's attitude towards the "spirit of the game".

It was the 72 tour, the Australian team weren't rated by the English at all, after three Tests it was 1-1 and the Poms were crapping themselves about Lillee and Massie (and the Australian batting) and the possibility of losing the Ashes.

So what did they do? The the 4th Test pitch (just the pitch mind you, nowhere else on the ground) amazing got diseased with something called "fuserium" and became a raging turner. And guess who they magically recalled for the Test? Underwood, the best bowler in the world on such pitches.

So, what happened? Underwood got 10 wickets, England won the Test and retained the Ashes (they went to a 2-1 lead, only having to draw the series to keep the urn).

In other words, it was blatant pitch doctoring because they were s**tting themselves. Campaigners.

Same old England. Always cheating.

Murray mint, anyone?

It isn't a gentleman's game at all, never has been at all.

Cricket is one of the more crooked sports on the planet - imagine all the spot fixing and the like that takes place in every t20 league around the world.
it's what they want us to believe, especially The Ashes

might as well forgive Tim Paine for his dick pics

I went to see the amazing Russell Morris in concert tonight. You haven't seen The Real Thing until you've seen it backed by a 50 or so piece orchestra. Just amazing.

I was following the carnage on the hour and a half trip home and getting more and more depressed. I walked in the front door and England were 6-299 I think and I was fearing the worst. I was about to retire when Stokes got out and thankfully stayed up for the rest of the innings.

I'm not interested in what English supporters say about the Bairstow dismissal either, after their lecturing yesterday about it "being in the laws" and "the umpire gave it out" - you know, like tonight. The few comments I've seen on FB have been criticizing it on "spirit of cricket" grounds. England supporters taking the moral high ground about the "spirit of cricket?". Spare me. They've had enough "moments" over the years, I'm sure we can all name a few. They don't belong anywhere near the moral high ground. **** em. :)
Did he do Part 3 Into Paper Walls ? Oww moww moww moww moww ...... o_O

Actually felt slightly sorry for him in the end. You can tell at least that he's respected by our players. Not sure the same can be said for quite a few of their other players.
Lyon spoke very fondly of Anderson. He came up to Lyon and chatted to him about the future of his career. Something along the lines of “play til your 40. Keep going if you still enjoy it and you stil think you can improve yourself”

Wait baz said he wouldn’t have a drink with the Aussies?

He probably doesn't want to drink one of those terrible Aussie beers and just wants to drink some good Kiwi beers like Speights, Tui, DB or Steinlager.
