Broad still whinging

But Bairstow didn’t ground his bat you ****ing dolt.

He walked out of his crease AFTER Carey released the ball because he’s a vacuous simpleton.

That's three clutch fourth innings Test match wins in a row, against the best in the world. The two Ashes Tests in particular being all time nail-biters.

Mental giants this Australian team. Polite, decent, likeable - sure, but also ruthless and clutch.

On their way (and pretty damn close) to becoming our first 'Great Australian Team' since Waugh/Ponting.

And how bloody fun! I'm so fat on English Schadenfreude that I'm at risk of both various heart conditions and being called up to keep their wicket.

You can’t tell me that if Bairstow’s similar attempt was successful, that plumb ginger wouldn’t have been waddling around the ground like a fat kid chasing an ice cream truck.

It is a both problem. Bairstow was an idiot, the wording of the rules is sh*t and could be easily fixed, and Cummo was a bit of a dog, as other captains in the same situation would have let him off.

so this is ok? he isnt attemting a run or even attempting to leave crease and unlike carey who caught and threw ball in one motion this is foakes waiting for long time before removing the bails so is that ok or not?

This could be the most spiteful Ashes test in a long, long time. Maybe not as spiteful as the Adelaide test in the 1932-33 series but you could certainly cut the tension at Leeds with a knife.
Up there in 2005 when Ponting was run out when England use a specialist fielder and exploited the sub rule....."spirit of the game".

probably not this current aussie side understand when they being set up, broad was baiting our lot to explode and make themselves look like the bad guys they just laughed it off and got on with game same with cummins in press gave them nothing they could use for click bait.

The wording is very clear and has zero reason to be fixed. It also comes down to an entitled dolt who thought he could just wander down the pitch while the game was still in play.

Johnny Bairstow became one of my heroes after carrying that kid protester off the ground. I feel bad about the way we won the game, but not really.

They'll go hard in the 3rd test. I'll bet on the Poms if I can get decent odds.

OLIVER HOLT: Pat Cummins was too fearful to do the right thing and withdraw Australia's appeal to dismiss Jonny Bairstow. He did not look like a leader. He looked PATHETIC

Love the salt
Have never taken Holt seriously on anything. Chelsea fan who cannot provide level-headed analysis on Spurs if his life depended on it.
Appears this extends to cricket. Philistine.

Yup, and the Poms are wasting all their energy on it. They'll be mentally exhausted come Thursday.

England is melting............

Lord Jeffrey Archer SLAMS Pat Cummins for NOT withdrawing Australia's appeal to dismiss Bairstow

Note - Jeffrey Howard Archer, Baron Archer of Weston-super-Mare (born 15 April 1940) is an English novelist, life peer, convicted criminal, and former politician.
Is he related to the former fast bowler?
