well i hope if this test has taught england anything its that juicy wickets make more entertaining cricket. this game has felt another level to the previous two (there was a lot of sessions of negative short bowling in them which is really boring). i feel australia learnt this lesson in the last few years and the recent pitches put up here have been a lot more entertaining.

anyway, another tense day coming up.

Root and Stokes are the only two that worry me. I think it's a matter of time before all their other bats knick off.

If we can't get Stokes in his first 20 balls then we should waste no time in going to bowling full and wide outside off and setting the field accordingly. Drying him up there is the best way to get his wicket.

The way we bowled to him in the second innings of test 2 was brilliant. Completely stifled his power. Was masterful.

Surely there’s more pressure on the home team?

Absolutely.

I do think the one good thing about bazball is they are told to play with freedom and not to worry because they'll win more than they lose.

It's mental and I believe leads to worse results overall, but I'm expecting them to play with freedom today.

He is out of form but it's a good out of form if that makes sense. Still getting starts and helping the opener (Usman) consolidate.
A player of his quality should be going on, he is not Marcus Harris. Either it is a technical thing with him or a mental thing. Not all good starts tho with 13,0 in second match.

Spot on, they are the ones trailing 0-2. We have to use that to our advantage in our tactics and field placings. Exert maximum pressure, a rare Ashes win is at stake.

Don’t think we’ve got enough personally but it’ll still be a tough chase. Think we missed out a bit on day 2, both with their lower order and more importantly our top order failing. Yesterday was tough batting conditions and Head did really well to get us where he did.

If there is any justice, the day should be dark with leaden skies with the ball hooping around all over the place and Cummo to remove the Crawler and the Rooter in the first 10 minutes , then Starc to knock over the Dwarf shortly on a dodgy umpire's call

We have been totally screwed by the weather Gods and the "umpire's call" so they both owe us big time
