opening batter, and bowling pair have been playing grade cricket for the past month that screams watch out!

they need to look at the whole picture (in no particular order):

• scheduling
• marketing/advertising for the games
• players selected
• player rotation
• performance (lack of)
• etc

The two biggest issues re 50 over cricket was bastardising the domestic competition to fit in the big bash. White ball specialists ended up losing state contracts. Weaker competition, poor pathway for development. No real choice but to go back to using test players because the domestic players are not good enough. Then soon as the test players are rested, the side is garbage.

Then putting international 50 over cricket behind the paywall. FTA tv was what marketed the games.
