Unfortunately, Smith's drop cost us 90 valuable minutes, despite how good his catch was to dismiss the same batter 51 runs later.

Was the one chance as the ball was newish and could have run through them. No chance till the new ball now

If it means getting games in I don’t think we have much choice. If Brisbane isn’t opening the summer then it can’t have one, that’s just the way their season goes

Just switch test 2&3. Easy solution

Would they? They might be all out.

I cannot recall any past Australian side being so afraid of losing as what its fans are these days.
... I mean, your issue with Australian cricket has a lot to do with our arrogance. This team lacks that arrogance and has a healthy respect for an opponent who has beaten them twice at home prior to this and has already taken a test match off them.

Is it really any surprise the fans are likewise wary of this Indian team?

Lol yes great plan move it to the flattest pitch of all time or Tassie with a small capacity

You whinge more than anyone on this forum about missed cricket due to weather.

Make up your mind in the above hypothetical

Do you want to see a tv screen showing intermittent highlights of a big and restless crowd amusing itself during rain intervals or a smaller one watching cricket.

CA gets more from the bigger ground they just do, rain happens that’s cricket. It’s not the end of the world if there’s a bit of weather

I don’t think linking arrogance and moving the game forward a little faster when a day or so has been lost due to rain is a very direct association mate. Come on.

There is a big difference between aggression and positivity and arrogance. I don’t think anyone would perceive a declaration at the end of day two, or when Cummins was dismissed, as arrogance.

Edit: and btw while I don’t think there is anything remotely arrogant in what Australia has done the way it has panned out, I think it would be equally respectful of how dangerous they see India anyway if they did declare early. It would just highlight the fact that they know they need time to bowl them out twice, they know they need to keep the foot on the throat while they have them under the pump etc.

I wouldn’t see it as a sign of arrogance at all.

Jesus the way some of you muppets are carrying on you’d think the Gabba Test has been washed out every year for the last 30.

Get a bit of a grip on reality.

Unfortunately there's some people on here who don't know a lot about cricket or cricket venues and have a poor feel for the game.
