There is no need for a roof over the WACA as it hardly ever rains in Perth in summer and they don't play tests there now anyway.

I agree Cummins is a useless captain but we don't have any real options to replace him.

we seem to win almost in spite of some of his tactics. he can let the game drift sometimes, lower order batsmen plans, likes pushing mid on or mid off back to spinners, and defensive very early against attacking bats. but he did come out with a drawn series in england, despite criticisms. we're lucky enough that lower orders haven't really gotten hold of us (thinking steyn's 70-odd in melbourne - ponting's stubborn streak on show).

but it's the weather that's been the issue here. pat may not be the captain to force a game but not enough time either way.
