Can't agree.

Uzzie at 38 has to go.

McSweeney is younger and has been batted out of position.

Uzzie is also dreadful in the field.

He might be finished but if anyone is going out it's the guy who is batting out of position and has never made a run at Test level

Lol

You're the one whose lying champ.

You dislike him, just admit it.
I said to a few forumites, I didnt want to bag him after what he did last summer.

If you take what I said on this forum as criticism of him today- I genuinely apologise.

On a side note, he looks a happier guy after the birth of his child.

Plenty of other people have had more nastier words about Marshs performance than what I have said.

Seems like Cummins was actually just hitting out until the next rain break which would eliminate the "10min changeover" requirement...

I was wondering similar - commentators are suggesting that the rain is closing in, so could well be let's bat until then and review the situation when forced off

"Smith on the fence".. come on..

Pushing older players out requires planning. Not suddenly handing 4 new players a baggy green and saying good luck. Obviously you would start with Khawaja and Marsh. Look at bringing Hunt or Konstas in for Usman. You have to back McSweeney longer than 3 tests. There is a limit and come Sydney if he doesnt have something on the board, yes he is in danger.

Marsh I would look to swap with Beau Webster now. That would be my only change for the next test. Plus Hazelwood.
sans a 90* vs WI & his century last test, his average over the last 10 tests (19 innings) is 25.52, passed 50 3 times after selfishly declaring that he wanted to open, before sulking that he couldn’t do it. he’s in a form slump, batting at arguably the most or second most important position in the batting lineup. in comparison, kane williamson has an average of 51 (20 innings) & joe root has an average of 57 (18 innings). you often speak of these three batsmen as that, the three best of the modern era, but smith’s simply been a liability. stats only tell half the story, but he is selfish and can’t act as our team’s carry any longer.

australia as a test side has no forward planning capabilities, we let david warner have his parade tour for a retirement, leaving us exposed with no actual opener. our youngest player is an unimpressive 25 year old who’s struggling to make it past 10 runs. england picked the obscure jacob bethel and has performed better than the majority of our veterans at the age of 21, he’s averaging 52! (6 innings)
