It was easy to drop McSweeney because he isn't mates with George or Pat (yet).

Standard treatment for SA boys though. Still haven't forgotten Callum Ferguson, Joe Mennie and Chadd Sayers all being jettisoned after a single test.

Accountancy for the new caps, but none for the senior players and certainly never for the selectors.

McSweeney was seriously struggling, sometimes dropping a player is the best option. I think he’s pretty mentally shot against Bumrah with the new ball and would’ve continued to fall cheaply. The only time he made a start, he was dropped on 3…

It's a F**kin disgrace that a young kid in McSweeny gets scapegoated and we have marnus averaging 20 odd for the last 2 years with 1 ton in 40 bloody innings!!!! ...it's blatantly wrong and reaps of picking your mates ...its f**ked cummins/Bailey ...bloody disgusting !!

The poor kid wins the bat off at the start of the season....against the likes of Harris bangers and yes Konstas . Comes in on a fast bouncy Perth deck with half the team not f**kiing preparing for and we produce a shit performance because we want to f**k off to watch Coldplay and we are underdone !!!.....

Then the kid goes to Adelaide with the pink ball....makes a 30 odd....sets up the middle order for head to go bang .....then he goes up to QLD ...stop start stop start in the f**ken rain...and gets out to the worlds if not best bowler we have seen in Bumrah....meanwhile Craddocks bum boy Marnus still waves outside off stump nicks off every 2n innings and thinks he is bloody Denis Lillee with the ball

While this is going on golden child Konstas the media darling of the NSW F**k squad . gets the golden treatments and makes a very nice 50 playing hit and giggle cricket at Manuka against a 2nd grade bowling attack !!

F**K me ..the likes of Harris and all the other openers in the shield must be thinking what the F**K!!!.....

Don't get me wrong I like Konstas and I want him to succeed but F**k me....way easier to get into the team if you were a Blue baggie then any other state cap....if I was a youngster playing for WA VIC SA QLD ... I would seriously consider quitting your state and moving to NSW

Just go with Renshaw, Harris, or even Patterson.

Would even consider Patterson to 3 and Marnus to open.

I don’t get this point of view. If Konstas fails, he’s what, 19, he has a decade to get back in the side to still have a decent career.

He doesn’t seem to lack for confidence, hail or shine a reckon he will be fine.

Good to see him in the Australian Test squad for the Boxing Day Test.

They do it every year, which is fine if there’s actually a realistic chance at rotation. But 100% he’ll just warm the pine and not play any cricket for the next 3 weeks.
