That isn't his release point and all you are doing is highlighting the point for me, you can see below how much straighter it is on release which is a 0.000000% chance to happen if the force of bowling forces it to hyper extend.

That is a piss poor excuse for chucking the ball as far as im concerned. The problem isn't bumrah because he would be bowling 120km/h without it so it only makes him meh pace but now you made a loophole for him the next guys going to be a natural 140km/h bowler coming in bowling 165km/h every ball

Mate all the quicks should be sore, it comes with the territory of being a quick bowler. If Starc says he is right then that should be the end of it.
This resting bowlers rubbish is just that, rubbish!!
Bowlers have some rest coming up. You need your best playing the big games and they want to play in all of them. Unless his back is broken then he will be fine. Sore backs come with being a quick.
Its not resting of the bowlers white shark...he is not 100 fit...he has an injury ..and as we have seen in this series picking underdone bowlers in hazelwood has burnt the side ..... if he gets picked which is most likely its a risk and it could cost us the series as has been shown before in the past.

Going to be interesting which way the selectors go

Lol, you misunderstood my post…it wasn’t about you or the racism example

It was about the fact that while it’s true that fan bases are equally irrational, hysterical and parochial, the discourse across the respective commentariats on issues like these is overwhelmingly one-sided due to the financial factors at play

Do you follow me?

Hopefully the go with Richardson and Webster for Starc and Marsh at this stage, otherwise no other changes unless someone has pulled up sore that we don’t know about.

head came into the test with a niggle, might be nothing, however

All 3 are past it, especially Rohit who has been horrible for a long time , atleast Ashwin knew his time was up and did the right thing for india.
I don't think - given their record against Travis Head and Ashwin's record against lefties - that this is true at all. They refused to pick him, so he left. IMO, he had and has plenty still to contribute, and has the BCCI to blame for refusing to pick him away from home.

He'll go down in history as one of their best spinners, but their lack of faith in him will prevent him going down as their best.

What’s even dumber is that those who actually know and understand the process, e.g. Simon Taufel has said that correct process was followed and that he could have just given it out without looking at snicko
It's an indictment on the V President of the BCCI to post what he did on Twitter that shows he doesn't understand DRS policy

ashwin’ll likely go down as the best bowling all rounder, many, like mitch santner from NZ end up being a better bowler, ashwin still regularly made runs (and centuries) while being a dominating workhorse for india across the globe

He was always a nutcase.

Expecting Sidhu to not be a nutcase is like expecting drug dealers to not deal drugs.
I actually really liked his commentary!

But yeah, complete nutball

Who is that on the right?

This is Bumrah at release:

There is not a reality, alternate or otherwise, in which Santner ends up a better bowler than Ravi Ashwin, irrespective of Ashwin’s mediocre overseas record.

Overseas records will always pull players’ records into perspective and they will be ‘score settlers’ when there are two players with similar records overall and one player has been well proven everywhere and the other player has relied on doing the business when things are at their easiest.

When a player has over 500 wickets, he is still a great player.

James Anderson is still a great bowler despite relying on his home conditions a lot to help him (as a few on here have noted he did fix that a little later in his career) but when you compare him to Dale Steyn that’s when you start to bring his home record into the score settling.

If Santner ever gets to 300+ test wickets and has a record into SENA countries of 30-ish with 150+ wickets then maybe it would be slightly arguable.
But he’s 32, has 74 test wickets at 34, and has a lot of work to do before that happens.
In his favour is the fact that when he DOES play, he has a good record in most countries - he’s just been flogged in Australia and Sri Lanka

So what, he declared himself fit. He knows more than the sports science people about his own body and it was a different injury.
I bloody hate this Molly coddling. Starc plays if he says he is right.
This is a bit silly.

He knows how he feels, and that's about it. He doesn't know more than the physios or team docs do. Pretending that the scientists and doctors don't know more than the player themselves - when the player's health and condition is literally their entire ****ing job - is extremely silly.

If a doctor tells you you have cancer, you going to up and tell 'em, "Nope, I know how I feel, and I feel like I don't have cancer."?

Pretty sure any thicko off the street knows better than Louie Meehan

What next guy?

It’s been 30 years since Murali came along. No one, whatever you think of his action, has been able to replicate and exploit it. Malinga came along 20 years ago. Again, because it was different - and I don’t doubt that in some quarters it was because of where he came from - some idiots thought that he threw it as well, but no one has been able to replicate it either although there have been a few with a passing resemblance to a sort of hybrid ‘Malinga-Jeff Thompson’ style.

Bumrah has been around at professional level for almost 12 years and at international level for almost 9.

Where are all these guys exploiting this ‘loophole’ that doesn’t even exist… as it is not breaking any rules anyway
