Time wasting is a part of the game, did that part well, Usman is just out of form.

Funny that the Indians are so fixated on Konstas, could have just let the wicket speak for itself but he’s got them steaming with rage.

Could see some erratic bowling tomorrow if they don’t get him out early in the morning, they’ll be more frustrated the longer he is there

We’re crying out for a bit of personality and we want to bash it out of the kid already. Remember being nineteen and needing to learn. He’s gonna do some silly shit but he’s standing up for our team which is something we desperately needed

Unless he scores big, he will lose his spot before the Ashes in my opinion.

Whether you love or despise what happened near the close of play, it's yet another reason why you can't take your eyes off this series for one moment. Today's crowd at the SCG was the biggest day one crowd there since 1976: everyone is loving the combative way these two teams keep coming back at each other. I'm just a little sad that this is the final Test.

I'm good with Konstas having words but he'd want to be scoring runs if he's gonna mouth off like this.
He'd want to score runs because he's a professional batsman.

Having a bunch of opposition players and armchair experts riled up for next to nothing makes his need for runs no different.

Anybody tell Jasprit that it wasn't Konstas he just dismissed?

The fact he turned straight to the off-strike batsman means the 19 year old is living rent free in their heads.

Doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with the way he goes about it. Those are the facts.
Hilarious how a rookie is. Can’t get into Smith, because he’ll just smash them.

Says more about these supposedly senior and experience players.......
Absolutely. The whole point of niggling and baiting is to knock one off their balance. Konstas has done that brilliantly, and I would go as far to argue he is a critical turning point in this series at a psychological level. Hopefully, we can go on to win this series and reward his brave input.

He's putting a target on his back for every team in the world now where he doesn't have to. That might work for him but I hope he can back it up

I enjoy the concept of stating his total match figures in his previous game, which is the context of him being picked while carrying an injury and coming off a long series, being an example of 'cherry picking'.

I mean, at least the fluffers my screen name worked with got paid.

Anyway, your hero will probably jag a few more wickets against this piss-poor Indian side and all will be well.

Doesn't change the fact that they took an unnecessary gamble playing him when we have other options. Sometimes gambles pay off, but it speaks to the broader problems with the boys club mentality.

It's fantastic

If that’s the case, Kohli, Warner, Faf, Broad, etc etc etc - basically any ‘villain’ you can name from the last 20 years and before that as well - has lived ‘rent free’ in the head of their arch rivals whether they’re winning/performing or not.

He got involved in a minor dispute between the batsman and the bowler that didn’t have anything to do with him - maybe just to try and chew up time but either way it had nothing to do with him - and got told by Bumrah to basically f**k off and stay out of it based on what the footage showed. Two balls later the world’s premier fast bowler takes a wicket. Of course he’s going to turn and give it to someone he perceives as a lippy little smart arse.

Do you think Shane Warne wouldn’t have done the same?

Shane Warne would have given him a verbal send off, but he wouldn't have charged at him menacingly.

Bumrah has first come off his line at Konstas with very little provocation except a shrug and "he's not ready". Konstas should have stayed out of it, but Bumrah should not have gone at him. Konstas only got lippy after Bumrah went at him, and Konstas had every right to not back down. And then Bumrah has rushed him after the wicket while Konstas was minding his own business.

Absolutely pathetic from the Indian captain. And we all know there will be no punishment and the Indians will keep thinking they can carry on like this. And this is the sort of stuff that trickles down to lower grades and ends with a bat being swung at somebody.
