Imagine if a 19yo Indian started mouthing off to an elite Australian bowler. You would not be saying the same thing.

Yes, I really would…

I’d be saying: “calm down bro, you’re embarrassing yourself…you can’t run around flapping your arms trying to intimidate a teenager in a cricket pitch just because he’s annoying”

And if it was the captain, I’d add: “take a few Tests off to get some therapy…I think he’s in your head because you’ve got a bad case of hysteria and probably a touch of The Vapours”

Gotta say im surprised that the Indian series has taken over from the last ashes tour. Its bonkers in here which means we're getting some great cricket!
It's been a brilliant series . People I know who have shown minimal interest in cricket are talking about it and watching it again
It's great for the game especially with a home ashes here next year

Virat is just trying to take attention away from the fact he’s as cooked as my rump steak last night and the way I cook that’s not a good thing trust me!

Rump is terrible, just like virat!

Interestingly Shastri thinks its a few technique issues he can iron out and he can play for another few years .

I'm not so sure on that . All teams know how to bowl to him and I didn't think he ego can handle putting his shots away .

Been in the junior and senior state team but they still haven't ironed out his flaw in front of the wickets. What's being in the Aussie team going to suddenly change that?

Also he is now facing the best in the world who will be even better at exploiting the shortfall.

Because their behaviour is anything BUT professional. Not all of them, but a core of them. They believe themselves to be bigger than the game and nothing they do can be faulted.

I don’t know how many of you lot have dealt with high caste Indians before but, as a sweeping generalisation, they are the most self centred arrogant assholes you’ll ever encounter.

They do NOT like to be verbally challenged at ALL.

And they are most definitely never wrong.
I feel like culturally the fact a 19 year old rookie is giving back chat makes it ten times more infuriating. Not deferring to elders much more of a cultural taboo.

The problem for Kohli is unlike, say, Steve Waugh he can't just put away a shot since he doesn't have enough scoring shots in his arsenal to compensate for it.

His ego won't let him either . I think that's his biggest issue

Funny that doesn’t apply to Indian youth refusing to leave the field when dismissed and arguing with the umpire.

Talking about Kohli . Think your talking about Konstas , but yes I think a few of us that had viewed him in shield had noted some technique flaws.

A lot easier now to get through the system on a good eye , reflexes and all striking rather then a tried and true sustainable technique.

My bad didn't scroll up. Yes about Konstas

My words precisely. The immature way he behaves you'd think he came from a pampered, privileged childhood. Far from the truth as he was reared in a middle class family with his family having to make some sacrifices so he could play competitive cricket. If this is your last tour here Virat act like a grown up for its remainder.

It’s pretty poor.

Downright disgusting. Sport really does bring out the worst in people it seems.

I dislike tall poppy cutters with a passion. Cut Konstas some slack, just turned 19. If he has come thru juniors with this technical flaw, blame his coaches and there have been plenty, mostly for white ball and they dont seem to take the time to hone red ball skills. Sam is driven so he will eradicate this flaw by spending hours in cricket nets same as he has done since he was 12. Btw the great Ricky Ponting played with a technical flaw of driving at wide balls and nicking off for quite a few of his early years. He'd also fall across his front pad becoming a prime LBW candidate.
