Again, I literally said that Boland probably should get the new ball. This will be maybe the fifth time I’ve written it.

However if I gave it to him I would give it to him over Cummins who has spent his career bowling first change, rather than Starc who needs the ball to swing

Problem with your idea is, Boland can’t build pressure if they are getting 16 runs off an over at the other end.

Just because the selectors were too gutless to drop an unfit bowler doesn’t mean you have to still open with him.

He’s less effective with an older ball? Well he may as well go off the ground because he couldn’t be any worse than he was with the new one.

So you don’t bowl someone in CASE they go for 16 off an over. Good luck your off spinner ever getting selected again then

I turned it off to lock in while working from home for a while and we have 2 wickets.

I'll continue not watching and find new ways to slack off.

When we have them all out at the end of day's play, please make sure nobody forgets my sacrifice.

But it's been a weak era of Australian cricket (world Test cricket) for the past 10-15 years.
Bollocks. Have held the Ashes for past 8 years. And WON the World Test Championship beating India last year.

And just might beat South Africa at Lords in June too , to retain the trophy (all going well )

All about momentum and pressure though. If Cummins and Boland come on and have them bogged down early and take a wicket or two then the momentum shifts again instead of losing 20 runs instantly in a match that has 350 total so far.

Starc can come on later when the pressure is built and we’re back on the front foot.

Have a shit and its a deal
I'm stuffing myself with caffeine and curry as we speak.

An athlete at the peak of their powers, some might say.
