Punter would have memories of our failed 100 odd chases in the past
Yeah we're already at a chase target past "comfortable", especially on this pitch. It will be a nightmare either way unless Head takes over.

Still, keep it to 220 or less and we're well in the game (can quote this when we collapse all out for 75).

Didn't look like there were many signs it'd flatten out tomorrow, but we can hope.

Hopefully not until this pair is in the sheds though.

Trying to be optimistic, I don't think the pitch was quite as bad today.

Batsmen weren't being hit as much, at least, which suggests more consistent bounce.

And it will be sunny tomorrow, so we should have some of the best batting conditions in the match.

It really depends on Khawaja. Need a solid opening.

It shouldn’t be any worse hopefully so our boys just need to put a high price on their wickets and chase this moderate target without shitting the bed. Ussie and Marnus need to be key parts of it

100% and/or Head to fire because he can take it away from India in a matter of overs.

Konstas peeling off even a quick 30-odd would be huge too.

He took 3/49 on day 1 against a team that won the toss and chose to bat. We now have them all out for 180...

'Barely paid off'...

Come on...

Hey Starc fanboys, you still going on your early crow victory lap after all he could manage was 4 overs of shite today?

That's the thing about test cricket - it has two innings. And you need to take 20 wickets to win. Snagging a couple of wickets and getting a slogging tailender out while still slinging some pies in the first innings is nice and all, but if you're not fully fit you shouldn't be playing for this very reason.

He may even knock over a few tailenders tomorrow like he often does when he bowls rubbish to the top order, but it doesn't change the fact he was a liability today against the actual batting order when India could have taken the game away from us.

If it hasn't cost us the game, it's only because Boland strapped Starc's carcass to his back and dragged him across the line.

What's embarrassing is not you random Bigfooty numpties backing in your hero even when it's clear to Blind Freddie that he shouldn't have been picked, it's that the selectors are no better than you.

We’ll probably be only chasing 200 odd.

If our top 6 can scratch 30s-40s we should romp it in.

Wicket was tricky, but there’s been some bog awful shot dismissals.

Heady can end this in a session if he gets going. He won’t need to but that’s his go. We don’t want to rely on the tail to save our arse again. Unless it’s Boland. He deserves to hit the winning runs to rubber stamp his parental custody of the current Indian 11

Too close together, absolutely. Two mistakes. Half a step left he doesn’t dive at that.

I’d been berating my missus for half an hour that they were too close together.

She didn’t care.

Slips positioning from both sides had issues. For sure mate.

Martyn aesthetically was my favourite to watch from a technical point if view.

Gilchrist the best Australian to watch all round.

I played against Martyn in junior district cricket in Perth, he was a freakish talent and he was way too good for that level.

Like Ponting he could have been playing first grade district cricket at 14 or 15 he was that good, he was a batting prodigy.
