Starc has his positives but realistically Cummins Hazelwood and Boland is a very well balanced and pressure inducing attack. Only thing it does lack is the left arm change up but is that a huge issue? Boland has been our best this series and has a knack of impacting at the right moments, Cummins always steps up when it matters and Hazlewood is probably our best bowler overall

The consensus seems it should have been some time ago and stupid that it's even a question

Unfortunately they will keep him on the bench like they did with neser for a long time as they lack the objectivity for hard calls.

Well said. The pitch will deteriorate further. Batting last will be tough.

Aust Batting Order - 4th Innings Record

Sam Constas: Yet to bat in 4th innings
Usman Khawaja: 698 runs @ 29.08
Marnus Labuschagne: 271 runs @ 27.10
Steve Smith: 782 runs @ 32.58
Travis Head: 413 runs @ 41.30
Beau Webster: Yet to bat in 4th innings
Alex Carey: 193 runs @ 38.60
Pat Cummins: 23u runs @ 29.62
Mitchell Starc: 266 runs @ 14.77
Nathan Lyon: 181 runs @ 10.05
Scott Boland: 20 runs @ 20.00
Best batting is normally day 2/3 of test matches with deterioration happening day 4/5.

That would mean tomorrow should be a decent day for batting, but with this deck, no idea if its still going to improve tomorrow before getting worse.

The one that interests me most tomorrow is Konstas.

Granted we’re in the shock & awe phase of his start to test cricket, but a reasonable total to chase, see how he handles the blowtorch, could be the makings of him.

Concentrate above his pay grade . Stay in and graft.

We’ve had 26 wickets fall, only one has gone to a spinner & that was in the first session Day One.

This is the bloody SCG.

You would expect Day 3 to be the best time to bat.

How soon we forget he was suspended for a year for cheating as an Australian captain.
Nobody has forgotten, we just don't have KPIs to bring it up 100 times every bloody Test like you.

It's insufferable and I'd cut it out if you want anyone to take you seriously.

I'd like to think our batters can get it done, but recent history tells me that the stage is set for another heroic captain's knock from Cummins.
