A big morning ahead. Hopefully Boland takes at least 2 more wickets for a 10/ this match.
Our openers need to get off to a good start.
Arguably not the time for 6 or out cricket but that’s Konstas’ natural game, so good luck reigning him in.

Unless India can bat out the entire day, dare I say it but the match and series will be finished today!

insert Baywatch theme as the slow-motion running begins here
Im just thinking from the highlights I saw of Day 2 yesterday, an early India wicket this morning might open the floodgates. Bumrah is injured and number 10 and 11 for India aren't well known for batting, they are considered to be 'easy prey'.

Unless the lead is above 240 or so, this game probably is decided before stumps today with an extra half an hour allowed if the umps deem it to be close to a win or loss for either side.

Has there been a more anticipated day of test cricket in the last 20 years in Australia of a final game of a test series? I am struggling to think so.

That nervous, rather it started pouring down to be quite honest LP.

Na if we can’t chase 230-250 we deserve to flat out lose the trophy

It feels like Australia have dominated this series in the 5 games so far. I have this gut feeling , one bad today may spoil and wreck the series for Australia. With the older Indians in their lineup having already experienced victories here, feel there is more pressure on Australia today than India.

Our batting is very flaky and that’s at best. When a bloke on debut was your best bat…

Of all the grounds in Australia, the SCG is by far the hardest of the 5 grounds in this series to bat on as the game goes on.

It used to be the WACA back in the day............

One of the BIGGEST problems we’ve had is knocking over their tail quickly. Far too many easy runs from 6 down, other than the second innings in Melbourne where we finally got it right

That’s what we really need to get right this morning.

It’s our last chance to do so and puts us in an excellent position to win if we can.

Dominated so much that everyone wanted half the team dropped after the first test!

That horrendous Smith drop killed wrapping up the tail within 30 odd runs.

There has been lots of key moments in this test and the series but that one is right up there.

Not only was it going to be am easy catch to Khawaja, he also dropped it himself.

They could easily get another 50 runs and that could be too much for us.

How dare Australians complain about sub continent pitches this one is appalling another 3 day test tho it usually rains lots in Sydney

Everyone interested in cricket is right to complain about cricket pitch curation in India because it is prepared to the home team’s advantage

In this case, Australia only needs a draw and the tourists have the best fast bowler in the world and Sydney prepares the greenest, batting minefield in living memory l…also to India’s advantage!

In short, you couldn’t be more wrong…the opposite of what you said is true…you’re either dim-witted or an elite-tier gaslighter 🔥

The preparation or lack of was what was being questioned nothing else was. Our bowlers came in underdone and it showed let alone picking bats who were playing some useless ODI’s when they could have played a shield match

Too much focus on externals (pitch, off-field drama, selection debates, ...). Can't control that stuff
Right now this team needs to focus on what they can control - bowl good line and length, set appropriate fields, take catches when they come, and most importantly put value on their wicket when they bat. If they don't get bowled out they regain the BGT. It's as simple as that - doesn't matter how many runs they are chasing - just stay in. The runs will come naturally. It's Test cricket FFS - they are supposed to be the best in the world but it's like they have forgotten how to play Test cricket.
