So for the third year in a row Dodoro refused to believe what everyone with two eyes and half a brain has known for a while - that Essendon need better inside mids and contested ball winners. That was always what would hold them back from a flag, but looks like there may be some other issues too.
That said, I think GWS will give a few teams a pasting this year - but they’re also missing some important players and Essendon are still serving up this drivel.

Well Robbo, Rohan Connelly and Matthew Lloyd did. And they are usually pretty unbiased when discussing all things Essendon.

Could be a pattern emerging here for Essendon.
Lose all the early season games and play yourselves out of finals contention by round 10. Then suddenly find your mojo, and beat everyone and finish 9th.
Seriously has to be an attitude problem with these guys. Last year they were Jeckyl and Hyde. It's not a talent problem, they proved it at the second half of last year that they know how to play. I reckon these guys have some mindset that they are all Hollywood, and put in these half assed efforts thinking they will run over the top of teams with soft footy. Then they get their sh together when it's too late and their season is toast. The next 2 months will be interesting to see how they go. Surely they beat St Kilda next week.
