Completely agree. His timing could've been better and given the stance the AFL has been taking with head high contact I wasn't surprised that he received a penalty as harsh as he did (suspect there was a little bit of making a statement in that punishment). That being said, it was nice to see him attack a contest as you said as if he has first rights on the ball. I imagine he'd be a frustrating player to watch as an Essendon supporter, similar to Jake Stringer. All teams have them though.KOing cunningham aside, it was nice to see him attack contests more.
He's a big lad with huge reach. Needs to be hitting every pack as if he has first rights on the ball.
