Congratulations Fox Footy

You just won the award for the worst coverage of sport ever.

1. Dwayne Russell's inane screaming
2. With seconds to go and less than kick in it... Hannan roosts the ball toward goal with nobody inside fifty... and the ball trickles to a complete stop on the goal line. And they cut to close up of Hannan jogging 45m away! Meanwhile Brayshaw and Fisher are going neck and neck in desperate race to the ball.

Just about a unique occurrence in AFL footy and you blew it.

Exciting last quarter. Great game in the end.

I didn't think the umpiring was too bad, Melbourne the better team no doubt the rotations got us back into the game. They would of won handsomely without their injuries. Positives for us were scoring over 100pts without Charlie Curnow, McKay and Cripps.

A suitably comical conclusion to a pretty gross game. Lack of rotations became a factor late but Carlton looked good in the last and were pretty unlucky not to pinch it. Same old problems for the dees failing to put teams away when well on top, and inability to arrest momentum when the other team inevitably gets a run on. Very nearly cost us another game.

1. Dwayne Russell's commentary. For god's sake... The game itself is exciting as it is without him screaming hysterically for the last 30 minutes.

Russell and Roos. A commentators match made in heaven.

What a witty remark.

Nonetheless, umpiring + Melbourne having one man left on the bench gave you a huge opportunity and Carlton are still too s**t to take it. Better luck next year.
The umpires gave them the 6 goal lead with some.shocking calls, if you can't see that and then I see right through your anti-carlton agenda and bid ye a good day.

Keep on trolling though you might get a bite

You should have won, in fact you should have won every game this year if not for all those bad umpiring decisions you receive.
You stay happy with 17th on the ladder. You are on the up. 18th to 17th well done.

They gave them 4 goals in the 3rd term to open it from.a 2 goals to a 6 goal game, what did we get a goal from.setterfield being thrown to the ground when casboult had marked.the ball anyway so it made no difference.

Carlton had an amazing amount of good fortune through the game to be in the position to win.

Melbourne’s injuries, ability to butcher easy opportunities, Alex Neal-Bulllen just playing.

That included most of the questionable umpiring decisions going their way in the final quarter.

If you think Carlton were unlucky to lose, you are the epitome of a one eyed supporter.

The “throw down” on Setterfield was laughably bad, Setterfield got a push to the chest and collapsed. Goal.

O’Brien (I think) propelled like an IED went off under him. 50 metre penalty and goal.

Viney tackled immediately, holding the ball, goal.

Viney tackled high, then high again (he ducked into the second so fair enough) on the wing, holding the ball.

Silvagni clearly held Hibberd multiple times on the half forward flank with Hibberd’s jumper flaring out. Play on.

Two of Silvagni’s goals were from big shoves (not holding ground) although only one was in the final quarter.

Walsh caught numerous times in tackles, getting sling and pops out “handballs” that went straight down and looked suspiciously like he dropped it. Play on.

Correct decision as the vision was inconclusive, but the “Umpire’s call” for McDonald’s goal looked more likely the hand hit the boot rather than the ball.

Melbourne had several go their way too, I can recall about five times through the game where I thought Melbourne were quite lucky.

But to create the narrative the umpires stopped Carlton winning is high farce.

Stopped reading here, casboult took the mark 25m out anyway and you talk about being one eyed lol.

Fwiw you scored 12 goals directly from free kicks/plays involving free kicks so you only kicked 3 for.the game without assistance.
