Seriously, how bad is the standard of umpiring this year. Make no mistake, we'd be getting thumped regardless of what the blokes in green decide. Geelong are well above the pack this year.

This isn't a bias thing, it's just shit across the board. I can barely watch other games as a neutral observer these days.

The consistent changes of interpretations just turn the umpires into ducks in a shooting gallery, though. Partially because they have to constantly adjust, partially because the average fan doesn't - obviously - keep on top of the changes and so shouts angrily every time.

I agree, we essentially have a sport where the rules shift like tectonic plates and umpires are often caught in the middle. This past round however we've seen umpires mucking up pure fundamental rules of the sport. Thank god the WAFL is still decent.

WCE have been deplorable today. The scoreboard isn't reflective of just how one-sided the contest has been. For a premiership side, you should be embarrassed by the poor work rate of your side.
