Honestly I'm happy for them, completely deserved the win. Marvel with the roof on was incredible and sounded full, and they were singing the song all the way back to the train station. Good luck to them.

How can the Eagles produce some of the best footy seen one week then some absolute garbage the next ... played great against bulldogs and port Adelaide who are looking likely to be contenders this year but then roll over and lose a 30 point lead to the saints!!? Confusing

I found the fadeout of the Eagles inexplicable, esp as you came so close to beating the Doggies at Marvel a couple of weeks ago.

They were pummelled into submission. Our pressure went off the charts.

Early in the last for instance they put the pressure indexes up on the screen for the quarter so far and ours was at a whopping 264.

200 is elite, finals-like pressure, so think of how much 264 is. Last week we went at 154 for the game and had a quarter where we went at 137!

West Coast probably just didn’t see it coming and just didn’t cope with it.

coming into this game its was WC by how much, despite the blind love(for my team), 1/2 time was, jeez this could get ugly if we're not careful, 3/4 time still not quite believing we could pinch it.

never give up hope, if WC gets back to WC's strengths, you'll be there come September.

Yeah I don’t think so, dunno where you’re getting that from. The vast majority of Eagles supporters at the ground and here give full credit to the Saints for that second half. Umpiring had no effect here, either way...anyone who says otherwise is clutching at straws or trolling.

Eagles are spineless in finals away from home. There goes their top two aspirations and therefore their flag hopes for the year.

Not a WCE fan myself at all and enjoyed that loss immensely, but it’s premature to say they can’t be top 2 and it’s also premature to say they can’t win a grand final from outside the top 2.

It’s very early and the competition looks as even as it’s ever been.
