Surely the Bulldogs are getting sick of Beveridge's coaching? Playing a fringe forward flanker on Charlie Cameron, names his favourite plodders every week, Macrae going up in ruck contests, and the bizarre strategy to have players back away off the mark? I mean, I get the strategy to force teams to kick long inside 50, but the Bulldogs' key defenders are awful and it works directly against them. It hasn't killed them completely so far tonight, but it just smacks of a guy trying to be smarter than what he actually is.

It is annoying. Too smart for his own good. Needs to picl a structure and stick with it. Tries to reinvent the wheel too much.

West has got an excellent attack on the footy, makes me think even less of Bevo as a coach knowing how long it took for him to give the kid a consistent crack
Always had that attack, had a billion other deficiencies to get out of his game first. Was a liability up to this year, and the "team first mentality" penny has finally dropped.

I agree with the sentiment that Bevo is prone for smart assery but I can’t get too mad tonight regarding small defenders. We were handicapped a little tonight. Three of our starting small defenders were injured in Duryea, Richards and Caleb (not that he plays on man). Bailey Williams has been horrible down back this season and was moved to a wing and Crozier has been so-so for over a year now.

Brisbane have some of the better small forwards in the league with McCarthy and Bailey as well so it was a bit of a recipe for disaster.

Have umpires tightened up on players falling flat to draw a push in the back free kick? Looks like it and I hope they have intentionally.
I would have agreed with you until 2 Lions players received exactly these in the last quarter.

well considering the AFL decided to gift them Ugle-Hagan for free and not change the rules until AFTER the unfairness, seeing Ugle-Hagan be average is a lovely sight to see.
Receiving priority picks for tanking is a gift, danster.

Matching an academy pick is not and was a thing for a long time prior to the change. The fact that you see a player developing and laughing at his short comings says more about you though.

correct it was, but because it was so grossly unfair they changed the rules after the draft. not before. despite knowing that Ugle-Hagan was going to be a top pick at least a full year out from the draft. This is why the AFL have looked after the dogs like no other team.

Are all 17 teams living in your head rent free at the same time?
