I didn't know they had a present yet? Carlton are flag less this century, there were times when they were up for a long time too, but they've done nothing for decades. Geelong's reign is over, most sensible fans know that. But with 4 flags and more wins than any other team in the last 20 years , i feel fine!
Your present is a 10 goal flogging and your future is an abyss. Go and buy the DVD set from your club shop and live in the past then. 20 years, 30 years, 40 years...who cares? You're irrelevant today.

I have watched most games this year. The two Carlton forwards have been the beneficiary of some generous umpiring - compared to other key forwards.
So they have played 14 games each and have 18 free kicks each. Curnow got 2 last night which resulted in goals , but is it generous umpiring ? I mean, if Henry has both arms around the player when the ball is coming in, that's a free kick every day of the week. I don't think you can call it generous at all.

Where are all those cocky Carlton supporters who kept telling me they look forward to meeting again later in the year??
Well, here it is and I like my boys to get the job done (again).

Cats win by 22 points and recapture their early season form :thumbsu:

Okay good, can you please advise me on how to cope with this irrelevancy? The fact is Carlton haven't been relevant for nearly 30 years, perhaps you can give me some tips on how to handle this? You should be an expert?

Their big forwards have had a very generous run all year with the officiating. But you tend get a good run when you are winning the ball, and it made zero difference to last night's result.

If you want to talk about officiating influencing games I would be taking a look at the run the Pies get in close games.
It certainly helps when they come up again absolute spuds like last night . The Cats defenders were so far out of their class, it was obvious they would struggle legally to contain them .

The Cats board is a fun read, the umpires got us over the line, despite the Cats winning the free kick count comfortably. So those nay sayers out there who don't believe the umps have a say in who wins games, here's proof, a10 goal win set up by umps.
lol- pretty much nobody said that.

Well good luck with that, AFL umpiring is subjective.
Stats aren’t though.

Prior to last night (the timeframe you outlined in the original post) Curnow was averaging one free kick per game.
In simple terms, one of the most targeted KPFs in the comp gets infringed once per game

Seems a little under what you’d expect wouldn’t it?

Oh right, if you say so.

What a load of crap. Do you even watch football?

Yeah watched him every week nob, he got watched like a hawk, lets no pretend the umps did him any favours

I haven’t and won’t see it. Can you tell me please?

On your Blues the most overrated team, your coach says:

“I thought they jumped us right from the start… We were just outplayed”.

“That’s as good as I’ve seen a team play against us in a long time”.

“We weren’t able to tackle them. You know, obviously they’ve got some class players in there. [Patrick] Cripps was dominant, [Sam] Walsh was really good, but just, you know, their ability to be strong in the tackle.

“But then [also] really tackle us. We couldn’t get any clear ball. So, you know, our skill execution was off, but obviously a lot has to do with them.

“Yeah, I think through the game and they did everything well”.

Hard to feel sorry for any of them. Geelong have had an amazing run but they are well overdue for a decade of bottom 4 finishes.
One decade I could expect after already being dubbed as the champion club of the 21st century.

As long as it’s not 3 decades and a handful of spoons then all’s good, that kind of disintegration would be very embarrassing and deserving of no sympathy whatsoever.

The simple facts are Carlton have done nothing this century except collect a few wooden spoons. Meanwhile Geelong have made 13 Preliminary finals, 6 Grand Finals and won 4 of them. They have won more games than any other team since 2000, Carlton were relevant in the last century, they have done nothing in the 21st century.

Hard to argue with any of this...

BS.
The entire "natural arc" BS was because of Buddy.
You obviously haven't a clue.
